What size is the opening of the shells? 1/2" - 1"

These are TINY--do not buy--read the reviews--there is apparently no quality control. These are SMALL not medium. Buy them from a store where you can see what you are getting so you know that your crab will fit

Will this shell fit a crab who fits size 3" to 3 1/2"

These shells are very small. I ordered the medium and large, they were to small for any of my crabs except for the smallest and only one of my crabs is large. I ended up going to the pet store and having them order me the size needed

No, and they are more of a medium than a large.
