What are good Nerf guns for 5 year olds

Well, my grandson is 8 and he's got every Nerf gun on the Nerf market once he gets his Christmas present with the last 2 guns he doesn't have. I would say the smaller guns and NO guns that have rapid fire. However I would advise you to look on the package for the age they recommend for what gun. I also would advise you to get the Nerf mask for anyone he is playing with because it is rather unsafe to have him playing with anyone who doesn't have one on as they can get shot in the eye. My grandson" 8 " and I "67" have Nerf gun battles and I thought I would be alright without one and accidentally got shot in the eye and it's not fun! So teach him safety for sure. Now we BOTH wear one because we get pretty wild but have a blast! No pun intended. HAVE FUN!!
