We use the camera for looking at water meter registers, which are typically high above a drop ceiling and pointing upward. The cable is stiff enough to reach high without the aid of a broom handle or something similar. My only complaint is that the camera did not come with the TF card, which is required to use all the features of the camera (i.e. taking pictures or videos, setting date/time, etc.). The card had to be ordered separately. Since the card is due to arrive this week, we haven't tested all the features, but we are still impressed with the camera. The price was very reasonable. Review: Good for price - Good for price. Bought the longer cable model but wish it came with a short cord too. A bit heavy and clumsy for small things. I believe the longer cable needs to be stiffer too because it's harder to control when it's used longer. Another improvement would be more control of the camera. Specifically manual focus and white balance. In closed situations the camera decides on what it wants to focus in on not you. The other thing is colors seem to be off at times so white balance can help identify what some things really are.
