A: Yes bought for college student dorm for reusable dishes works awesome

**Q: The photos look very cute! Would you recommend this set for picnic and party?**
A: This dinnerware is attractive and durable but is not disposable.  Using them for a private party or picnic is a personal preference, though dish washing is required.

**Q: is it dishwasher safe?**
A: According to the product description on Amazon it states that is is dishwasher and microwave safe but I have not tried to put them in the dishwasher as we use ours for camping and do not have a dishwasher when camping so we wash them by hand with hot water and soap.

**Q: is this product lightweight?**
A: Yes, very light!
