Stand Out Stabilizers - A Stabilizer and Standoff for Extension Ladders by Levelok Corporation

I am installing aluminum gutter guards on my 2nd story gutters that are 18 ft. off the ground. I have a folding ladder that is 16.5 ft. tall, too short to reach the gutters. I bought this in hopes the standoff would allow me to stand on a high rung and manage the gutter guards installation, which is slid under the first row of shingles with the opposite side screwed down to the gutter lip; and it is a perfect, stable standoff from my wall, making it easy for me to work the four foot span of each gutter guard. I am a 73 old man, and to carry the ladder fully extended without a standoff is a challenge; so any standoff has to be light weight, and since this one weighs less than two pounds total, I can carry and move the ladder by myself. When I first opened the box, I was so skeptical of its capability that I carefully saved all packing material; but it only took me a couple of minutes to insert them the first time, and I was totally sold when I repaired the calking on a tall window and then carried the ladder to reach the gutters. I immediately tossed all packing material. This is a keeper; it's a remarkable product. I only wish I had bought is forty years ago.

Wow, I wish I had known about these years ago! I'm often on all kinds of roofs for repairs. Usually need a helper, and when it's windy 30 feet in the air, it can get scary. NOT THE CASE if you've got these bad boys! I was able to do a flashing & gutter job by myself, & ive never felt more secure! Added bonus is that they won't dent or scratch the gutters! No hardware, just put them in, & feel immediately safe. I'm glad I splurged & got these. Worth every cent! Also, I weigh 300 pounds. No problem. And the rubber padding on the round parts that touche the roof are very thick & durable.

These standouts are excellent! They are light weight, easy to install and re-position on ladders. Work on both round and "D" rung ladders. May not be the lowest priced, but are definitely worth the value price.

I googled around for a while trying to find something like this. These are extremely simple to use and work very well. I feel much more safe on the ladder when using them. I use them primarily for placing the ladder against the roof. The stabilizers keep the ladder off the gutters. If they look very basic in the pictures, they are, but basic in a good way; they work exactly as you would want them to. The friction keeps them in completely and utterly.

Original review Love these. They are way over priced. But I still love them. They are so light. They don't even seem to add weight to the ladder. They don't make it top heavy. Do April 2026 I ordered a second one and this seller ripped me off. I ordered what is pictured and described which is the SKU: ST-ORS-3XL, which is great. Highly recommended. I was sent the cheap crappie one the SKU: ST-ORS-3. Which is garbage. It has round insert ends instead of crimped ends. This means it doesn't fit in all ladders. I have 7 ladders. It only fits in 1 of the 7. It also has foam grip pads instead of the silicone rubber ones. The foam ones are garbage. Ruined the very first time you use them. I already bought one of these on accident before. I re ordered this one, the SKU: ST-ORS-3XL. And was sent the cheaper crappie version. It is sold for $20 or more cheaper. This seller is garbage. Don't buy from them. I found another link for the same product. The SKU: ST-ORS-3XL, the one with crimped insert ends and silicone grip pads is a great product. The extremely similar SKU: ST-ORS-3 is not great. The insert ends do not fit every ladder. And all my ladders are werners. The foam grip pads will shed the first time you use them. Honestly I don't even know why levelok makes the cheaper version, the SKU: ST-ORS-3. But this is clearly showing crimped ends and Grey rubber grips. Which is the SKU: ST-ORS-3XL. And the seller refuses to make it right claiming I ordered the wrong thing. I know the product. I have them both already. Original review before this seller screwed me over and sent me the wrong items then basically told me not there problem. Love these. They are way over priced. But I still love them. The ones that aren't crimped on the ends only fit in some ladders. The foam pads won't make it through a day. The silicone pads have lasted 2 to 3 years now and appear to be fine.

I bought these months ago and finally used them when dealing with ice dams. Our siding is new and so are the gutters, and having this attached to the ladder (which was super easy) was way kinder to both gutters and siding than leaning the ladder directly on either. Easily removed so ladder stores easily. And easily used on other ladders as needed.

Makes a stable, 4-points of contact platform out of your otherwise "iffy" ladder. All of a sudden you don't mind climbing (even though you shouldn't) with things in your hands. It's recommended that the top of the ladder still be tied off, but most "Harry Homeowners" won't bother w/this step when using these as the ladder becomes so Much more stable with just these installed. Gave 4-stars because even though they work great and could save your life. I found the price is a little high in my opinion ($68 - $70plus on line for the set). Also the soft foam on tips will get torn up not long after coming in contact w/your shingled roof.(No problem; just use a wad of duct tape.)

I have multiple sets of theses ladder stand-offs. The picture shows the ends have a crimp or dimple. This allows the stand-offs to be used with fiberglass ladders. The stand-off ends are round and only fit in aluminum ladders.
