Update: at first I was disappointed when I saw the tiny little paint colours. I was not sure I would have a lot especially after reading you can make about 25 faces. After using it, I can attest that yes you can make that many faces. You might run out of some colours first. The booklet with ideas shows different make up ideas in 3 steps. It was easy to replicate them. The paintbrushes themselves were not fantastic. One of them is all open with very soft bristle so very useless. The other one was nice to fill out shapes but was a bit big to do outlines and small details. Get the little brush package sold separately if you want to have option. The paint itself was nice to use. I had a cup of water to dip my brush. It was very easy to wash, dry and wet. Maybe too easy as my daughter rubbed her face after a couple hours and it was erasing. Maybe I need to use less water but she was very happy to be a cute little kitty. It also comes with 4 white sponges, the two small one seen on the package and 2 bigger ones. I bought 2 packages, and we had 6 people painting. We had 300 people come through, and I would say half (150 or so) had their faces painted (not full face, but some quarter face projects.) We had enough left over to do this year's festival. Not as many people, but we painted probably 80 faces, but many wanted "full face" designs, which uses much more paint. We were running out of the white. This kit goes a long way. **Q: Does this kit contain templates or suggested patterns to paint?** A: It contains a small booklet; six designs each for boys, girls, and halloween. The photos are small and directions are very sparse. There are no templates, so I'd recommend buying a book or watching videos before taking on a face painting project. **Q: This face paint says that it has won awards.
