Review: Un po’ scettico alla fine l’ho acquistato pensando fosse quello che cercavo ed effettivamente è perfetto per essere montato sotto e non sopra al manubrio. Montanto sopra è un po’ alto e sicuramente antiestetico ma sotto non si vede e sta benissimo tra manopola e cambio, e soprattutto è perfettamente azionabile con il pollice senza spostare l’impugnatura della mano sul manubrio che in discesa è fondamentale. Parlo di montaggio su mtb e non bici da corsa. Dopo un paio di mesi di utilizzo anche in condizioni di fango e bagnato funziona perfettamente quindi direi che è anche resistente e il suono è perfettamente udibile dai pedoni.

This one does! It was super easy to install snuggly and inconspicuously on the left side hood of my bike's drop bars (I'm not sure if it will install/work on the right hood of drop bars). It has a very pleasant single ding tone that is clear and loud enough to be heard from a good distance even on a busy greenway. If you're tired of calling out "ON YOUR LEFT", you'll love this and I suspect many of the people you pass on the trail will too. You can tell the people who designed this bell actually ride drop bar bikes. While it may be a bit more expensive than my trusty, tried-n-true double-dingers, i'm pleased to say (after 1000 miles of use) I can't imagine finding another bell this close to PERFECT for a drop bar bike at such a reasonable price.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How well does it work when wet?**
A: Water on this bell, no different than water on any other mechanical ring device, there is no electronics to get wet. I consider myself lucky, riding in the rain for many years, but now realizing how dangerous it is, I only ride in dry weather and do long distant walking in the rain. It is also better for working other muscles and getting the back out of that hunched over position, which is noticeable on many lifetime elder bike riders, when they walk.

**Q: How to keep the bell from sliding around the handlebar when you push the trigger?**
A: Thanks for the question. The cable tie allows for very precise securing of the Trigger Bell to your handlebars. The video shows how to get the tightest fit by using pliers to hold the cable tie while pushing the bell. There is a rubber back to the bell chassis which allows for extra grip when mounting directly on bare metal handlebars. **Q: Hi:  Can it also be installed on the Right Handlebar of a road bike?**
A: Dear Michael, thanks for your question. Trigger Bell is really designed for fitting on the left hand side on drop bars. The reason is that on this side, you can give the hammer a really strong flick with your thumb to make a loud ring. Trigger Bell can be fitted on the right hand side, but it may be harder to find a comfortable and ergonomic position or you may not get the loudest right. Easiest thing to do is order one, test it out and if you're not 100% delighted, email me through the Trigger Bell website and I'll refund your order and you can keep the bell. Hope this helps. **Q: Does the zip tie cause any damage to the hood if wrapped around?**
A: On my 2010 vintage Shimano STI it spends the summers on and the winters off (to make room for the Barmitts) and once off there is no sign it was ever on.

Un po’ scettico alla fine l’ho acquistato pensando fosse quello che cercavo ed effettivamente è perfetto per essere montato sotto e non sopra al manubrio. Montanto sopra è un po’ alto e sicuramente antiestetico ma sotto non si vede e sta benissimo tra manopola e cambio, e soprattutto è perfettamente azionabile con il pollice senza spostare l’impugnatura della mano sul manubrio che in discesa è fondamentale. It's a brilliant, simple design; allowing you to ring a it while steering, breaking and changing gears (I've crashed into people before when they step out while I am going quickly so I need two hands on breaks and therefore can't ring my bell, so this is really handy). Can be fitted to any bike in any place (much more versatile than any other bell I've had). The sound is loud and clear and cuts through the noise of traffic well. Only downside is the installation can take a while, and with no instructions it seems like there should be a shorter way, but you'll just have to sit there unscrewing and screwing a screw for a while in an awkward position.
