The paper is thick so it's perfect for regular pencil, pens, and fountain pens. The build is sturdy with both of the covers in a thick plastic, good if it's rubbing against laptops, books and binders. The dots are incredibly helpful and not intrusive as regular college ruled lines are. The notebook itself is large enough in size that writing outside the margins give you an incredible senses space. Amazing for anything related to engineering and mathematics.

I use these for my science and math classes in which both writing and drawing are part of the note taking process. When kept next to eachother in my bag the binding sometimes gets tangled but besides that they are very sturdy and high quality. They are so clean looking and my inkjoy pens do not bleed through (slight shadow but doesn’t prevent me from writing on both sides of a page). I absolutely love these!!

I started using these for college a week ago and I wish I had had them for all of my courses prior. I love dot grid paper and these notebooks allow you to design your own cover page (as the plastic cover is see-through). The paper is of great quality and every pen writes great on it. I wish they were a bit cheaper but I get it, the price is likely due to the higher quality. I won't buy those Five Star college-ruled notebooks again unless in a pinch, these are SO much better.

Pages aren’t thick, as they are in other dot journals. The marker bleeds to the back of the page. Otherwise, a nice notebook.

This is my staple, now. I'm in the design industry and it's a great notebook for me- for writing notes, sketching, there's no bleed at the back of the page from use of thicker pens that leak more ink so there's more usable paper surface, the dots help with scaling when I'm sketching and I don't even notice the dots when I write, the binder ring is perfectly wide... I could go on.

I am so picky about my Amazon purchases and this one is the best one so far, it arrived as I expected.
