Cheap replacement that works.

Check the number of wires on the fan motor capacitor before you buy.
The switch is good quality, however, the description should state that it is for a fan motor that uses a 4-wire capacitor, it will not work with a 3-wire capacitor. If you have a 3-wire capacitor, use an S2 not a S6 switch.

Perfect Replacement
When my Hunter ceiling fan decided it did not want to change speeds anymore, I knew the switch was bad. A quick search told me it was an easy replacement so I purchased this Akahttbn Ceiling Fan Switch Zing Ear ZE-268S6 3 Speed replacement switch. The switch looks to be identical to the original found in my Hunter; all I had to do was remove the four wires pull the old switch out and put the new one in...extremely easy! The switch is the same size of the original, so it fit like a glove. It looks be of good quality and has a smooth action. I got three switches for the price I paid (a great value), so now if my other fans should have a problem I have replacements on hand. A couple of comments: first, be sure to write down what wire goes to what input on the switch before you remove them. I took pictures and wrote it down. Second, try to remove the wire from the old switch housing intact; if you cut the wire you will probably have to tin the wire so it goes back in cleanly. I was able to remove each wire cleanly by using a large paper clip and pushing down on the copper connector I could see in the hole on the top. After that installation took less than a minute. These switches are a great value and saved me the time and money of calling an electrician. Highly recommended.

Easy to replace without an electrician!
This was exactly what I needed. Went to YouTube for a short tutorial on how to replace the switch and it was a breeze. Minimal tools needed. This is the after picture of the wiring.

Why 2?
Had to replace a switch in a friends fan as the chain had broken off inside. This was almost exact and was an easy swap. But why 2 switches?? I only needed 1!
