Does this go in controller?

Yes. I had a memory pack already in my 64 and bought this for Tony Hawk and plugged it into my controller.

Will this work on games like 007 diddy kong racing,and or extreme g2 or any game that let you save with a memory card?

Yes, it will work on 007, Diddy Kong Racing, and other N64 games that allow to save the game on to a memory card.

I got n64,what memory card should I need?

This one should work for your needs but most Game Carts also have an Internal Battery so it's up to you. Get this just to be safe as the internal batteries are OLD.
