Will these fit a chevy silverado 1500 short bed?

They should depending on the year. I have a 2020 GMC Sierra AT4 5.5' bed and they fit perfect. Mounted some Rocky Mounts Drop Top bike axle mounts to run bikes sideways. Excellent and the tonneau cover operates without obstruction.

is this for the short/standard/or long bed? and will it fit a 2018 chevy silverado

THIS WILL FIT YOUR 2018 CHEVY SILVERADO BUT ONLY WITH A 5'7" BED

How dose it mount to the truck?

It has some threaded brackets that you lower into the pocket and rotate 90 degrees and then you tighten it down

Will this fit a 2018 colorado ?

NO, THESE WILL NOT FIT YOUR 2018 CHEVY COLORADO
