It explains the material clearly so you actually understand the concepts, which is a necessary step before attempting practice questions. Video Course & Teaching Style: There is a course he teaches in Udemy Andrew is a dedicated teacher who clearly cares about his students' success. He does not gatekeep. He doesn't hold back any "secrets" and puts a significant amount of effort into making the online video lessons interesting and easy to follow. His teaching style is practical and focused on the real-world application of the material. Summary: Without the understanding I gained from Andrew's book and videos, I wouldn't have been ready for Pmi study hall (honestly who is ready for PMI study hall the first go round?) and the PMP exam. This is a high-quality resource from a teacher who is genuinely invested in seeing people pass.

Good book for PMP exam prep. It includes a code so you can use it to get the 35 hours needed to take the exam. It has a good explanation of the concepts. It also comes with a video which covers the same thing in the book, just in a different order. I like the way Andrew explains everything, makes it very easy to understand. I used this book (didn't use PMBOK), and a few Youtube videos and passed the PMP on the first try.

The good: a thorough book that does breakdown PMI’s content and concepts very well. I use this to study for my PMP which I took and passed April 2026. The summery chapter with tips, themes, and advice was great. The Bad: it IS dated. While the content is good, it may not enable focused prep for the exam to a degree which I would endorse it (the book has more, which isn’t bad, but makes it tough to grab just the key material). I would say this book is a good shelf reference for any project manager, but there may be other study guides that are more applicable, especially once the exam and guide change in July.

This is a fantastic resource for the PMP exam, and it is the reason that I passed my PMP last week with 3 “above target” scores. The book is very well written. Descriptions of the required material are concise. Chapters are 10-15 pages, which makes each easy enough to read and digest in one sitting. A test exam of 20-25 questions follows each chapter. There are plenty of exam tips sprinkled throughout to help with tough or easily confused topics, such as explaining the difference between the Control Quality and Verify Quality processes. There is also a 180-question mock exam at end of the book. The most useful part of the book, though, is the section where Andrew discusses the “mindset” needed to pass the test. The concepts here are crucial. For example, be a servant leader at all times, remove impediments that your team faces, solve problems head-on, make decisions yourself and don’t defer to the sponsor, etc. Grasping these ideas is key to passing the exam. The book comes with access to Andrew’s online video course, which you can use to satisfy the required 35 hours of training before registering for the exam. In addition to this book, I highly recommend Andrew’s new online Exam Simulator (google "tia pmp exam simulator”). It’s a separate purchase, but well worth the expense. The simulator contains 6 mock exams of 60 questions each, and each question has a video explanation where Andrew shows how to analyze the response choices and choose the correct answer. The video ties it all back to the “mindset”. These questions are very similar to what I saw on the exam. There are a couple of minor drawbacks to this book, but they are not serious enough to detract from a 5-star rating. First, there are a number of typos in the book and also some formatting issues. The index is off by about 5 pages throughout the entire book, for example the index entry for “earned value” refers to page 206, but the topic actually is on page 201. And the glossary is missing many key terms. Bottom line: get this book if you want to pass the PMP.

This book was a game changer when studying for my PMP. I took a class and was just not feeling ready. This book helped me get through all the different topics and I passed the test first try. Remember, must do lots of practice questions!

The questions are well tailored and very logical. This book helped me navigate through the tough questions in the exams. This book tells what step should come first and helps me understand the project manager mindset. I’ve tried other books and even the more expensive ones but this is book that I got the most simplified information that I needed to pass the exam.
