I got this for an agile fundamentals class for a masters at Georgetown. This text book is an easy read and really has a lot of good info. I’m going to keep it after this class and use it as reference when I need it. Thanks for writing such a great agile book!

I have been in the software industry for 25+ years, have used mostly waterfall over the years for many, many system projects, and have found little use for a full scale Agile so far. I see where it can be useful for applications development and for maintenance releases of software. In any case, though I don't need it, I decided to do an official PMP course and this book arrived at the right time! And over the years, I did incorporate some aspects of Agile in to my usual waterfall projects as well, where it makes sense. Reading this book assured me further to use more and more such strategy even if full on Agile won't work for my system projects. (Note that some system projects are so small, but takes a year or two, and a proper Agile becomes an overhead) The things I liked about this book are: not expecting the reader to know Agile (and giving an excellent overview), taking experienced waterfall project managers like me (as well as fresh project managers) from other PM methods to Agile, excellent set of case studies, focus on enterprise level and big projects. Things to improve: better/clear illustrations (bigger print, more colorful). In all, I would recommend this as a first book on Agile to experienced project managers as well as wanna-be-project managers as well. 4.5/5.0
