The prior anchor I received was one that I think was used, damaged and repaired badly. I think that someone ordered a new one and returned the one I received in its' original packing. It was restocked as new without being discovered. This is the update on the performance of the anchor: The anchor preformed perfectly when used in sand, rock, mud or mixed bottom types. I have anchored in inlets with 3 knot tide waters and in over 120 ft of water with 4 foot + seas in my 21ft boat and the anchor did not move. I also want to state that the design makes it easy to retrieve. You can't go wrong with this on your boat!
