Badly Chipped at Corners & Poorly packaged!
I ordered this table a bit over a month ago, and because I had to travel, it remained in the package until it could be put together today. This table is a crappy mess. The packaging is horrible - it does not have the protective packaging needed to prevent it from chipping, poorly, at all sides. The box is torn at the corners, likely from poor handling. Obviously, this has been banged around in shipping and at the warehouse. The parts and screws were not packaged together, as someone tried to put it together, I suppose, and no one bothered to ensure proper re-packaging. The base poles are also poorly bent and rusted on the insides, making construction very difficult. In addition to the very chipped edges with the particle board showing at all corners, the plastic edging is also scratched. Nothing about this item is at the level one would expect for a new product. The box was in terrible shape overall, and could offer little protection for the table. The box itself has a forklift hole in it.Now that I'm back in town, I'm also just a few days outside the window to return it, so I'm now stuck with it, and will likely just toss it and find a replacement at Staples. I'm very surprised at just how horrible this is. I've never known Amazon fulfillment would send out such obviously used and broken crap for full price.Stay away from this and buy in store. Who knows what you will get?

Nice table. I took off a star for the ...
Nice table. I took off a star for the small chips on 2 corners as others have mentioned. Its a shame they don't pack it better but for the price it really is a great table. I paid more for a table similar to this back in 1994.

Very happy with this purchase!
My daughter who is starting out as an artist was looking for an affordable drawing table and none of them had the dimensions she was looking for, so she was very happy to find this drafting table at such a great price. We had read some bad reviews about the tabletop arriving chipped on the corners, but hers arrived in perfect condition (fulfilled by Amazon). There are black corner protectors on the four corners which are removable (see images), but they look great so she put a little duct tape on the bottom side of each to hold them in place. The table as a whole looks very nice and is very sturdy. It's a little tricky to put together but not impossible. The only glitch she's encountered so far is that one of the joints which holds the top and bottom portions of the legs has a tendency to come off the bottom when she's adjusting the slant of the table, but that's not something she'll be doing often and it's easy to clamp back on. I highly recommend this table to artists/architects on a budget!

Poor quality current model of a once-great product
I have one of these tables from at least 20 years ago, still in good shape, sturdy, and I always thought it was a good value. So I looked for some time to find the exact same table for another location. Well, the quality has gone WAY downhill.First, it was, unlike the older one, VERY hard to put together. The upper section of the legs is supposed to slide into the lower, on which the screw-on brackets with knobs have been placed. Almost impossible to get the upper leg through the bracket-- basically I had to exert extreme force and was afraid I would break the plastic brackets. Had to take them off and put them back on so many times to try to maneuver the legs together that I lost one of the nuts that helps hold the leg at the desired height. The legs are so uneven that even the screw-in levelers are ineffective-- the difference in height in back is so extreme that I can't screw the leveler in. Very wobbly.Once I FINALLY got the legs/base assembled, I took the top out and noticed that the laminate is chipped. Great. At this point, I had spent so much time assembling the base that I refuse to wait for a replacement. I wanted to call the support line to find out if there was a way to get the legs to insert as they are supposed to, but it was after 5 on Friday, so no such luck.I have put together many pieces of furniture-- bookcases, tables, chairs, and even this exact same drafting table-- but this was very difficult and time-consuming, and the result is much less than expected. The table is advertised as having a white top, which is what my previous model had and what I wanted. Ooops-- it's actually gray. I sent one back to another seller for that reason. It's always sad when one finds a product that works and is affordable. Too bad the manufacturer of this one couldn't maintain the standards established in past decades.

Buying cheap? Own cheap.
I bought this as a replacement for the exact same table I'd had for years before, but given away. I missed the big work space, easy storage underneath, and easy-to-assemble/disassemble construction (perfect for a renter). The table is cheap (pressed wood with laminate surface, tube metal legs). The packaging is terrible, with only thin plastic caps protecting the table top corners inside the box (one layer of cardboard). Mine arrived with a smashed corner that can't be "ironed out". Know that you'll be at the mercy of the delivery handlers if you ship. Otherwise, this table is a great choice for someone who needs a cheap workspace—not pleasing furniture.

One Star
I ordered this table twice, and both times it came to me damaged. Very disappointing.

Art Media Table for College Student
About the best deal you're going to get for the money. It was missing one peace of hardware. But I was able to find one in all of my stuff on screws and nuts. For the most part this table worked fine for my college student at home. I didn't want to spend that much for something real nice. He may not sick with this class. Shipping was fine. No damage. Quick too. I had it sent the slow plan and still got here 2 days early. Note: I didn't find when I was looking is. You can flip the top to be Black or White. But once you drill the screws in you must keep it White or Black. What every you decide. I like the white for more reflection for tracing.

Great table for art
This table suits my needs very well. It is a good size to have all my materials for watercolor out and ready to use. It was quite easy to put together. I am enjoying it.
