I came on here just to review this top-coat, because it is AWESOME! I am extremely impressed. Cost is great compared to other brands that arent nearly as good. Its super shiny, durable and dries very fast (trust me, I only use nail polish that dries fast because I always end up touching something and ruining my nails, it has to dry fast!). I used it over other nail polish that wasnt essie, but I will definitely be trying essie gel couture polish with this top coat. Love it. Buy it, its awesome!

The Essie gel couture longwear top coat is one of my favorite top coats. At first I thought I wouldn't be able to use this without a UV gel lamp, but it is actually made to work without one; the "gel couture" in the name is just meant to simulate the look of gel nail polish. Like the rest of the Essie nail products, this has a wide brush that allows you to cover most nails in one stroke, and it does not remove or disturb the underlying nail polish. It dries fairly quickly and leaves a very glossy finish. It helps keep my nail polish chip-free for about an extra day compared to using my Essie quick dry nail polish without it. I would recommend this. The Essie "Here to stay" base coat is great (not to be confused with the Essie "grow stronger" base coat, which is awful). It has a wide brush which makes it easy to apply to each nail in one stroke, dries quickly so I don't have to wait long before applying my nail polish, and keeps my Essie quick dry nail polish on for 2-3 days without chipping. I would recommend this.
