The Ancient Magus' Bride Vol. 4

It's been a very long time since I have been so into a manga I literally count the days to the release of new chapters. This series is stunning, both for it's delightful artistry, but also for it's storytelling. The world is immersive, expansive, and feels limitless. The characters are captivating, compelling, and each chapter just leaves you wanting more. Hand's down one of the most thorough world's I've had the pleasure to get sucked into, the lore is just so wonderful and deeply integrated into the storytelling process it's a true gem and work of art. If you haven't given this series a try I urge you to do so, the anime is also wonderful and follows the manga to a T. Don't miss out on this on this one, you wont regret it!

This latest volume was a great read, interesting, exciting, and poignant. The author is a gifted world-builder, and it is fun to see the different magical creatures (I WANT A WOOLY BUG they are so cute :P ) The fox plot seemed a bit sudden, but I like how it affects the relationship between Chise and Elias. Too often, in these sorts of stories, the characters will have a moment like that and then it'll be back to the status quo, but not here. Excellent story and I can't wait for the next one.

I absolutely adore The Ancient Magus Bride! The story is very engaging, the artwork is beautifully drawn and overall just a great manga! I recommend it to anyone that will listen to me! I wholeheartedly encourage anyone with a love of the fantasy genre to give this manga a read!!

I can not get over how expressive Ellias is, For a being with a bone head.he is drawn so well. I keep finding myself reading a page than going back to take a good look at the art.

I love this series because the art,characters,storyline is so damn amazing. It keeps getting better with each volume as well since we see Chise actually developing and caring more about the magical world and herself

Great series. This volume was crazy

I have read manga before and I was hesitant to read this based on the stated storyline. The idea of a young girl sold in a slave market to be both an apprentice and a bride to a supernatural being might turn one off at first but the way it is handled here removed any doubts I had about the material. Chise has a special power that makes her teacher/future husband very protective of her as he tries to show her the wider world. The growing sense of empowerment she feels and the fact that he stresses that whatever happens to her will be her choice has become a very good story and I can't wait to read more.

We learn more about Elias’ back story in this volume. I don’t know if it is the genre or the artist, but the characters are androgynously drawn. This makes it slightly difficult to differentiate gender, especially the male characters.

Item arrived in good condition. The story is very magical, kinda like Harry Potter but more poignant and warm. I like how more the dynamics of the two main characters (the skull guy and the ginger girl) shifts from father/daughter to mother/son to teacher/student (with either of them being the teacher or student). And the art is beautiful and very detailed. Highly recommended by me.

Ich freue mich schon auf die nächsten Teile dieser Serie. Ich würde diese Bücher auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen. (Ich mag die deutschen Übersetzungen nicht so, deshalb lese ich auf Englisch und es ist gut zu verstehen)

No te contaré muchos detalles de la historia para que la descubras por ti misma, la historia es muy linda y tierna con una protagonista que tiene un pasado muy trágico y que justifica, mucho mejor que en la Bella y la Bestia, el motivo por el que nuestros protagonistas se queden juntos a pesar de que Elias (él que sería la Bestia) le da a Chitose (nuestra bella) la libertad inmediatamente. El formato es un poco más caro que el de otros editoriales, posiblemente por ser más pequeña, y es para una audiencia para adolescentes pro que toca temas fuertes.

Este volumen nos revela cosas interesantes acerca del pasado de Elías, entre otras cosas. La verdad la historia no decae, al contrario, se vuelve más interesante ya que la autora agrega más elementos fantásticos sin que se sienta cargado o de relleno. Definitivamente me tiene cautivada. El tomo termina de tal manera que ya quieres leer el siguiente, así que tendré que esperar el próximo volumen. Como siempre, la edición de Seven Seas vale totalmente la pena por el precio que pagas, la calidad del tomo en general y las hojas es de primera. Además, mi envío llegó antes de los esperado, así que punto a favor para Amazon.
