has anyone gotten the 12v remote wire to work, please explain how, to many reviews say it doesn't?

I just install this and it work. i tap my rear speaker then added the ground and the remote goes into the amp to turn the amp on. 2014 Camry stock headunit.

Does the blue remote wire go to the amp itself, or do you have to connect it to a 12v source like a cigarette lighter ??

It is meant as a remote turn on wire (connect to amp), the LOC uses speaker wires to turn on/off and for voltage from head unit. Here is what is very important; some newer vehicles send continous voltage through speaker wires which will keep this unit on all the time. If you hook it up like described above do the standard quick test, turn on car, run, etc. Then turn off, if LOC/ Amps stay on for more than like a minute, then use the blue wire to hook up to cig lighter and test again. Hope that helps

Does anyone know if i use some rca y connector, can i run 2 amps off of 1 of these? or do i need two of them to run 2 amps?

You shouldn’t need two. This connects to you left and right rear speaker, sends a power signal to the amp to turn on via remote wire. You might have to splice the remote wire coming back so it turns both amps on. I think the y connector should work fine though. I’m an electrician though, not a car audio installer. Lol. Good luck!

Does the amp has to have DC offset? or does this just connects directly to amp and it will turn amp off when car is off?

There are 6 wires on the KISLOC2 - 2x wires for tapping into L speaker, 2x wires for tapping into R speaker, 1 wire for GND and 1 wire for remote turn-on (running from LOC to amplifier). RCA outs from the KISLOC2 go to the amp input. It actually does turn the amp on and off with the car/power to the head unit! As long as you ground it properly, it turns off/on with the signal from the head unit.

Tried them all, halfords, vibe etc. This is the best! for example you may want to avoid the ones with adjusters requires a very thin screwdriver and difficult to align 100% this kicker eliminates that challenge.
