It works like a charm. **Q: How does the basin attach? I'm looking for one that screws onto the base. Makes for easier cleaning.** A: No, the basin is. Attached with screws. Not good quality. Mine tilted when a squirrel jumped onto it and will not straighten out. Spend a little more for better quality. This one is a waste of your money. **Q: Does the color hold up over time?** A: The one we ordered is white so the color is fine. It was too weak to use on the post so we put it on top of a ceramic planter to support the whole bowl. This is working out well. I clean it with bleach regularly, it remains white and the birds have been enjoying it since we put it out in May 2015. **Q: Will it hold up in freezing weather if heated element is placed in it ?** A: I only use the top section & place it on an open steel (insulated) barrel. Then I have a 60 watt incandescent bulb (several inches below the plastic) that keeps the water from freezing. The base is unstable and we are not able to use it ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ White plastic birdbath *by J***R on Reviewed in the United States on 11 May 2023* I bought the same birdbath at Walmart maybe 10 years ago. It was relatively inexpensive and lasted these past 10 years or so. What finally ended its life was having been blown over by a particularly strong wind causing the bowl to crack, probably from the aged plastic. It is easy to care for and clean. The one drawback is that the base is not perfectly flat on the bottom which makes it prone to wobble or tilt rather easily. For the price, this is a good product.
