Sloan Flushmate toilet tank replacement for styles F0A, F01 Review: The retrofit kit arrived exactly when promised. The instructions that come with the kit, covers several types of installations, since this fits more than one tank. It is a pretty easy job to remove and replace the tank. I was fortunate to be able to use the original handle and lever, but it comes with a replacement cable driven release if needed. Be careful taking the nuts off the bolts holding the ceramic tank on. You will need a deep socket for these.Everything else is the same as if you were putting the toilet as new. The toilet works just like new. Make sure you review all the paperwork included before you start, so you see the options about how it can be installed. Review: Yes, this new model does indeed replace the old troublesome 501B. Mine had sprung a slow leak so it couldn't maintain flush pressure over time. This improved tank was delivered 3 days after I ordered it. Replacing it took me about 45 minutes. Few tools and little skill is required to do the job. The flush valve is cable operated, so you don't get the nasty kickback from the flush lever like the old one did. I was worried about the extra height of the new tank, but realized that there is an extra inch and a half clearance up under the tank cover. My American Standard is like new again.

This was the correct replacement for my 501-B series that was leaking and needed to be replaced. The problem I had was that the unit I received did not include what was advertised. In the description it says that the handle replacement kit is included which mine did not come with it costing me an extra $33. There are some reviews saying that the tool kit comes along with the unit but I didn't receive that either. All I received was the replacement tank, 2 rubber gaskets, and 2 nuts to tighten the Flushmate to the porcelain tank. It was easy to install on the other hand. Had it done in about 20 mins.

Exactly what I needed as a replacement for my 14 year old flush mate. Its not a 5 simply because the description states that it included a replacement handle/flusher mechanism...which is did not, so picture and description are misrepresenting the product you will receive. That shouldn't keep you from purchasing just know that you will possibly have to purchase the extra part.

I have had 2 Flushmate systems for over 13 years and have been very satisfied with them. When one sprung a pinhole leak a year or so ago, I was not looking forward to the expense of getting a plumber to replace the tank. I tried to use glue and gorilla tape to make the repair with minimal success.. After contacting Flushmate and finding them on Amazon I ordered a replacement. I read the instructions and viewed the video on You tube and was very happy with process.
