A sleek, expertly designed lunch box that allows you to bring a whole meal!
On instagram, there are always a bunch of photos of food in bento boxes, and I got really jealous of the way people could put such a variety of foods in their bento boxes. Every Monday and Wednesday I bring a lunch box to school, and inside the lunchbox, I have some flimsy (probably harmful to my health) tuperware full of the food I brought for lunch. And if I wanted to bring chips, which I haven't been doing lately because I don't like to waste bags, I would have to bring it inside a bag. So I thought it'd be cool if I could find a cool bento box to bring my food in. And through Amazon, my favorite site for shopping, I found the Bentgo lunchbox! The reviews were extremely favorable towards the box, and it makes a lot of sense. The Bentgo lunch box has a very sleek design, which I love—the designer really thought out each aspect of the lunchbox. It's designed in a way that allows you to not only bring a main dish but also two sides or even a side and some dip. This is possible because the lunchbox is made out of two containers: one larger bottom container and one smaller container with a divider. The two containers are held together by a strap (what a great idea). This is great because it saves you from bringing too many separate containers and/or baggies. The fabulous design also allows me to bring reusable utensils (that were included in the package), so I would stop wasting plastic utensils from my school—what another great idea. I've only used the Bentgo lunchbox twice so far, but I'm already really glad I got it. My first lunch consisted of ramen noodles (and, admittedly, my second lunch consisted of ramen noodles) in the big bottom container and hummus and chips in the top container. Usually, before the Bentgo box, I would just bring ramen noodles to school, but because of the awesome divider in the top container, I was able to bring a snack in the top. All the exciting possibilities of stuff that I can bring in the top container along with my main meal in the bottom container is awesome! The idea of bringing fruits, vegetables, or chips in the top without having to baggie it up is awesome. The only thing is that because the top is smaller I wasn't able to bring as many tortilla chips as I wanted to, but it does hold a lot of dip. Now, as I said above, I had brought ramen noodles to school. I filled up the Bentgo with water at school, and then I microwaved it there. From that point, I closed everything up and brought it to a different building on my campus. When I opened up everything, there was absolutely no leaks. This is great because it shows how tight everything is sealed. The nylon strap really does a great job. It's obvious to see that each aspect of the Bentgo box was well designed. Really, I see myself using the Bentgo box a lot in my next two years as a college student. I love how the box is BPA free and how sturdy the box is, and I love how I won't be wasting plastic baggies carrying food. I would wholeheartedly recommend the Bentgo box to my friends because this easily beats bringing food in flimsy tupperware. So if you find yourself in need of a new lunchbox like I did, I don't think you could really go wrong with the Bentgo lunch box.

Cheap and convenient. Perfect product
This is the perfect size for meals at work. I pack the main meal in the bottom, and I load the top with snacks. The utensils are great, everything is microwaveable and dishwasher safe.

Organized!
I have had this container for years. I really like the versatility of this for organizing my lunch/snacks. Pros: 1. Two layers of storage - for example, I like to use the bottom layer to keep something fresh. I would put a lettuce on the bottom layer and then on the top I would put ingredients that might make the lettuce soggy like tomatoes or avocado. Another example - I would put a hot dish on the bottom layer that would need to go in the microwave and then on top I would put fresh fruit or vegetables that I would eat cold. 2. Storage for utensils - this container came with its own reusable plastic utensils. I appreciated this because I hate throw throwing away plastic utensils after one use, and I never remember to bring my own reusable silverware from home. I also like that this container has a storage spot so that you always know where your utensils are. 3. Very cute design - I love the marble/ pink design of this Tupperware. It is eye-catching, and I use it to have snacks with my daughter. 4. Dishwasher safe - as a mother this is huge for me to save time, and to make sure everything is sterilized and fresh for my daughter. Cons: 1. Elastic band to close - The container does not fully shut unless you use the elastic to fasten it closed. I haven’t been using this Tupperware for years and the elastic has not stretched to a point where it does not keep the container shut. I could see this becoming an issue in the future. I wish the lids were just snap on tape to ensure extra freshness for my lunch and snacks. For the price, I think this is a great option for a lunch/snack Tupperware. I love being able to have multiple options of food during a meal without having several different Tupperware’s in my lunchbox!

Excellent Bento Box
I initially bought one for my husband to try out. I was slightly skeptical because the shape looked a bit awkward in the video, larger than what I thought I wanted. Since I like to pack big lunches for my husband, I figured it wouldn't hurt to try it out. Just after a few weeks of using it, I had to go and buy my own. I loved it that much. Some of my favorite features are: - It packs compactly in the cupboard. The smaller container fits snugly inside the larger one and the lids all snap together. - The box is usable even if you only use the larger bottom one. The band fits well enough that the top won't go flying off. I've never attempted to use the smaller divided box by itself, but I would think the band would be a little too loose. - It microwaves well if you follow the instructions and don't put the lids in the microwave. I haven't noticed any warps from reheating. - It cleans up well in the dishwasher. I put the top lids on the top rack and the bottoms sometimes go in the lower rack and we haven't noticed any changes between how the lids fit afterwards. - The utensils are pretty handy! This was a suprise to me. They're made of sturdy plastic and don't bend when you're cutting up something for lunch. - It fits a good amount of food, plenty for an entire workday. If I'm using both boxes, I like to pack my breakfast in the smaller top box and my lunch in the bottom box. I'm definitely stuffed afterwards. - The pieces are color coordinated. I like how I know which box has which lid because the logo is colored. Just a cute touch since all the pieces are interchangeable regardless of color. A few noticeable cons: - The lids don't snap shut and you MUST use the belly band to hold it all together. To me, this isn't a dealbreaker. An older box I had from a different manufacturer had snaps on the sides which actually broke apart after just a few months of use. There was no easy way of securing it after that. This box holds snugly with the band so I'm not too concerned. Just don't go tipping it all over the place. - It's not liquid safe. I wouldn't use this for any foods that are liquidy like stews or pastas. The bottom box may be slightly more liquid tight, but I wouldn't risk it. - The bottom box can be scratched if you use the included knife utensil. Again, not a dealbreaker since no plastic is completely impervious. It had small scratches, not huge gouges after using the knife. I'm just a little more careful now. Overall, my husband and I both love it. The price is perfect for the quality and I'm thinking of gifting these to some friends and family members looking to start packing lunches for work.

Likely to Leak, Not a Secure Lid.
Bought these intending to use them for the kids' school lunches. The lids to not clip or snap together. They rely on perfect alignment of all the layers and an elastic band to hold them. I know that my 1st grader won't be able to get everything perfectly lined up to avoid spills and leaks. Seemed durable, but not willing to take the risk of the messes.

Great little lunchbox!
This is a really nice lunchbox. It is well portioned for the entree, and two sides. The plastic is sturdy and feels like it will last a long time. There aren’t any latches, but the parts all stack and there is an elastic band to wrap around the whole kit that has worked for me to keep everything together in my carrier. The added plastic utensils are a great addition and come in handy. I’ve been using this to meal prep lunches for work and it has helped me save money and loose a little weight by helping me not buy lunch everyday and have proper meal portions. This is an easy recommendation from me. I say buy it, if you are on the fence.

Icily thought out
Still getting accustomed to it but early use suggests it’s a keeper. Only concern would be for adding liquids to it because it doesn’t seal tight otherwise than that the utensil convenience is great. I’m an adult and it holds enough for a nice lunch and snack but if you have a hearty appetite maybe a larger system would be better. The size is great for roadtrips and helps with not stopping at gas stations for snacks or food too. I like it!

Gutes Bento
