LEGS WILL BREAK!! great tripod otherwise.. Warning to all buyers!
====UPDATE!!==== Today is 2/14/2017, the day after my birthday. Luckily I can say I received a very great gift from Bontend, a brand new replacement for my broken flexible tripod! That's right folks, the day I posted this review (2/11/2017) I messaged the company and a day later (on Sunday!!) they replied and were great! The customer support completely understood my problem and had a unit shipped out to me ASAP! This changes my review from a 2 star with complaints, to a 5 star with trust. I'm very happy to be using this wonderful tripod again, and have put it to use immediately! It's safe to say that Bontend seems like a great company, and I'd highly recommend one of these tripods for any aspiring photographer, filmer, vlogger, or any other type of camera work. I've zero issues with my units other than the leg snapping off on my first unit, and I have since glued it together and am waiting to test it once again. Buy with confidence! Did I mention it's a great selfie stick? =====ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW===== I LOVED this tripod. It was the best tripod I've ever owned. The durability (or so I thought..), the looks, THE VERSATILITY!! It's unmatched for the price and functionality. I've probably used it every day. -- I normally do not write reviews, unless I absolutely adore a product, or have a major issue with it. Unfortunately, this review is both. I would 110% recommend this tripod, and would buy at least 2 more, however I am now afraid to spend that money; and you should be too. ----> There seems to be a major malfunction with these units. The adjustable legs are basically steel cables/some kind of metal flexible rods that are covered in the grippy, rubber exterior "sections". Those rods become weak overtime, and WILL BREAK! **This literally just happened to me, 5 minutes ago.** I was setting up the tripod to hold a small led light that fits perfectly, and while adjusting the position, one of the three flexible legs SNAPPED right at the top where it connects to the ball that allows it to swivel the legs. - So my problem: the legs will break. Mine just did. It snapped right in half, I couldn't feel it breaking, wasn't being rough, it literally just broke off at the top like the corner of a peanut butter cracker coming out of the little plastic packaging. I now have a 2 legged tripod that is UNUSABLE. - I am going to request a refund or replacement unit, as I've had this product for ONE MONTH! So warning to all buyers!! *****THIS TRIPOD WILL BREAK, AND COULD BREAK WHILE HOLDING YOUR $600 DSLR!!....***** If it were not for the broken leg, this would be an easy 5/5 stars, 10/10 product. The 2 adapters (1 for a Go Pro or similar camera, and 1 for your smartphone) are an absolute dream and work great! The screw for the DSLR type cameras works good enough but feels slightly sloppy when mounting. All I can say is, this is an amazing deal and tripod, but BEWARE, IT CAN AND WILL BREAK! This tripod needs its adapters and legs to be more durable and of a higher quality material. I paid for this product with my own money. This is not a paid endorsement, sponsor, free product, or discounted price. I paid for this tripod in full, with my own hard-earned cash. Authentic review guaranteed.

The Only Insect-Like Tripod You'll Need This Christmas
Hi there, I wanted to start vlogging a bit so I got this handy tripod for the only camera I own: my smartphone! I'm a super megastar on YouTube now but that's not critical to this review -- just thought you should know. I've owned the tripod for a little over a month and have used it twice (doesn't take much to become a super ⭐, trust me 😉). PROS: - Flexible This thing has moves like Jagger. I haven't wrapped it around a tree branch like the box suggests, but also I haven't been to a tropical beach island as the box also suggests. - Simple to use Every aspect of this tripod is easy to learn and master. Tighten this thingy, strap-on this other thing, click this into the clicky part and boom, you are ready to go. - Lightweight 🏋 It's so easy to carry, you'll forget it's even there as you bat off your legion of fans. - Green 💚 Green is among my favorite colors and it inspires creativity; you're going to need that if you want to be a megastar like me some day. CONS: - Too flexible It's non-trivial to reset the feet to their starting position (flat/straight and folded). I want my tripod to look neat when I'm not using it. Compared to traditional non-insect-based tripods, it takes 3000% more effort to fold it up and put it away. - Where do I keep the pieces? It would've been nice to include something that could hold the alternate mounting fixture when not in use, or perhaps a soft fabric carrying case to shove the whole thing in when I'm too busy basking in my fame to record yet-another-vlog. - Doesn't double as a selfie stick Because it has no extension capabilities, you won't gain more than a foot or so of distance between you and your camera by collapsing the feet and holding it like a baton. I tried, it's sub-par, what are you gonna do? Bottom line: Get this tripod. The parts work, it's simple to use, green is the best color, and fame and fortune are sure to follow anyone who records with this thing. ✌💓

A good and affordable alternative to Gorilla Pod
I have been in the market for a good tripod to use for my dslr and that would also work for my phone, since I use it as a mic for my youtube videos. This tripod is pretty good price for it's quality and seems to be durable. I like how you can use anything from a dslr, phone or a gopro.

Fabulous tripod
I took this tripod with me on our vacation to the national parks out west. Grand Canyon, Zion, Monument Valley, Lake Powell. I recorded our every step with my camcorder perched atop of this. It was lightweight and easy to hold up as I walked. Much easier to shoot the camcorder on this than from the palm of my hand. And it acts like a selfie stick as I often turned the camcorder back on us from time to time as we were walking. Another fantastic use was being able to set the camcorder down on the tripod and stand in front of it to film ourselves. We waved to the camera while saying and doing silly things with the gorgeous scenery as our backdrop. I never wrapped the legs around a railing or something like that. I must admit to having a fear of it slipping off and taking it, along with my camcorder, on a long drop to the bottom. Not a big deal, I was always able to find alternative places to set this down instead. And I can attest that it was perfect on uneven or rugged surfaces. I also didn't want to bend the legs around something because there are many reviews that mention the wire in the legs will snap if bent too many times. Didn't want that problem on our Grand Adventure. People sure did envy our camcorder and tripod setup. No reason they shouldn't have. It was wonderful. I am definitely buying another one if for no other reason than to have it as backup. I won't ever again use my camcorder without this. Love this thing.

A quality product!!
This is my second tripod I've purchased! So I bought my first tripod in January for a vacation. My goal was to have a handle and tripod in one and brand name ones can run $$$$ pricey for my budget. And quality of others did not impress me. It served its purpose as I used it in my vlog as a handle with my Nikon D3300 and GoPro Hero 4. I loved it! It was sturdy to hold the big camera and the rubber legs made for a nice handle while it was nice and light and compact for the GoPro. I even got a nice sunset time laps over a crowd by attaching the tripod to a light post as high as I could. So the reason this is my second is that I let my friend use it while he was shooting a wedding and he loved it for a handle while shooting video. Loved it so much that I decided to gift it to him. So now this is my second. I never really used the phone holder but it holds my phone in good when I tried it. If the phone holder is what interests you than I'd go for it. Im not saying it puts the grip of death on the phone though so use wise judgement.... That's just me. In the end I think this product won't disappoint! I am curious as to other products by Nintendo. I will try to add some pictures and video of the product in use and of the unboxing. Thanks for reading. Hope it was helpful. (Both products were paid for and not received as a gift for good reviews. Although that would be nice ;-)

Sturdy enough to stay upright with a heavy/bulky phone case!
I have been looking for a tripod to use for live streaming/Periscope sessions, and this tripod ended up being the third tripod I purchased. The first one was from a store; I happened to see it while I was in shopping for other things and picked it up. It couldn't even hold my phone without tipping over (an iPhone 6S Plus, not including the case). The next tripod I purchased was from Amazon, and it had some good and bad reviews and didn't cost much. Again, that one wouldn't even hold my phone, with or without case, without falling over. The next tripod I purchased was this Bontend Flexible Tripod, and it was my third one. I have a Mophie battery charger iPhone case that I use for my iPhone 6S Plus, and it adds considerable weight and bulkiness/depth to my phone (but this case has saved my life numerous times by adding extra battery to my iPhone--I was able to livestream a concert for 2 hours recently and not lose battery). I was afraid the Bontend tripod wouldn't work either, but I ordered it strictly off the indepth reviews that have been posted on this product here. It ended up working out very well--the tripod only had 3 pieces to it right out of the box: the tripod itself, the phone holder and the GoPro camera mount. So it was very easy to put together for my iPhone--just screw the phone holder into the threads at the top of the tripod. The tripod itself is very sturdy. It holds the weight of my phone (IN the Mophie case, no less) with no trouble. I like the bubble level on the top of the tripod, although I don't know if I will really use it very much, as it's easier to just eyeball it when you're livestreaming. The one thing I have not seen covered in any other review of this tripod is how deep or bulky of a phone case will this tripod hold...I had not seen a review cover this aspect. I was really glad to see that the iPhone mount is not only able to contain the weight of my phone, but it also has the ability to actually "hold" the phone inside the bracket itself. The bracket at the top and bottom are made of rubber and plastic, which helps immensely. This phone case is fairly wide (a little over 1/2" width total), so finding a tripod that includes a phone bracket that will hold the width and height of the phone has been difficult. I've included some photos so you can see how the tripod looks with the iPhone in the Mophie case, and you can tell there's enough room. I can actually life the tripod with the phone in the mount, move it around and even upside down and the phone doesn't fall out. The legs on this tripod are made of some kind of plastic/rubbery material, so it grips the table surface well too without sliding around. I haven't tried wrapping the legs around anything yet to know how well they function in that respect, but they're good heavy, sturdy legs. So far, so good with this tripod. I will be using it for a Periscope session this coming weekend. If I run into any problems, I'll add another update to this review afterwards. This tripod was a good purchase, especially for the amount of money I paid (I did not get a discount). Also--the seller almost immediately responded with an email after I purchased it and asked me to let them know if I had any problems. That's always a nice touch and shows the seller is concerned about their products and the buyer's experience.

Great tripod...Got a new one 2!
So far so good! When I 1st bought this tripod I was scepticial at the price, thinking it would be cheaply made...I was totally wrong. This is one of the best tripods I have. It holds my Canon 70d and an 18-135 Lens on the front (that's heavy!). I also use the adapter to mount my iPhone for time lapses. I travel a lot with it and people are always asking me about it. I would buy it again in a heartbeat. UPDATE: 12/12/2016 I was using the tripod on my trips, it did a great job at 1st, until one of the legs broke while I was just HOLDING IT. I used it as it was intended, I never abused it and just after 2 trips it broke. It appears that the metal on the inside simple snapped from bending. (It looks like a hard aluminum) I am disappointed, it was a great product at 1st. I would have bought another one if the break was my fault, but now I have to try another product that is made better. UPDATE: 12/30/16 I am truly impressed with the costumer service I got from Bontend! They emailed me right away and sent me a new one no questions asked. The customer service ALONE deserves 5 stars and I look forward to using the tripod again! 👍

I found 2 useful attachments to use for my iPhone as well as ...
I’m writing this review after owning this tripod for.. oh, approximately a month. I was very excited to use my first “selfie stick/tripod” ever because of the unique design and because I needed something that could fit in the pockets of my North Face backpack. After unpacking the jenga of an accessory, I found 2 useful attachments to use for my iPhone as well as my GoPro. 1) The mobile phone attachment was nice and snug. You can screw onto the tripod and adjust the spring loaded lever to hold almost any sized phone (I have an iPhone SE). A+++ 2) The GoPro attachment, seemed simple as the first, however to my dismay, kept going around in circles and never latched on completely. Was this a 360 degree capability? Either way, I wasn’t confident it would hold my GoPro camera as stable as I thought it would. By then, I had to depart for travel and just took it with me. Note: Keep in mind this does not contain the actual plastic device that shields the GoPro camera. After several uses of the wobbly attachment & reviewing my footage, all I could hear is the cackling and rocking back and forth because it was not screwed on completely. 360 degree capability or not, this piece could have been a lot better. I looked inside the rings of the attachment and noticed there was a break where it was suppose to screw on the tripod itself. I ended up purchasing the same part in Japan for about a dollar and replaced it myself. C- :( 3) The tripod itself proved worthy, it was flexible, easy to hold, and the perfect size, maybe right around or less than a 12” ruler. A++ I’m giving 3/5 stars because of the faulty piece for GoPro, paying a little extra to replace the part, and for the noisy footage I brought back from my travels. Please make sure this will be a lot secure in future products!
