great quality. can def view them easily on the microscope. the container does feel a bit rough though, coz if the super tight fit, when i get the slides but good enough. I'm just scared i might scratch them while pulling them out

I purchased this set to compliment a microscope for my 6 y/o. After understanding what mitosis is, she was disappointed when we couldn't find a mitosis example in the onion slide. Same went for a few more slides before we saved the day with chia seeds aka dragon eggs & sugar aka crystal towers. The point is that these are serious educational slides. Without understanding what you are looking at, these will be useless. So before you consider purchasing this set, do consider your target audience. That said, I will go ahead & try to give it my impartial review Pros - 25 different slides that cover various mechanisms from biology. I thoroughly enjoyed revisiting the topics from my school years. - Slides are nicely prepared - Slides are in a nice wooden slotted box. Each slot is numbered with a paper provided that lists which slide corresponds to an individual slot. - Each slide itself is labelled with the appropriate description. - The wooden box has a piece of foam padding on the top so that the slides don't toss around & break accidentally Cons(mostly minor) - Some slides have inherent contamination which could be viewed at higher magnifications. - I wish the foam protecting the slides on the top was glued to the top inner surface. I'm sure we will lose it at some point - The paper listing the slides could be on a heavier stock. Best if you make a copy cause it'll be easy for it to be lost or tear if it gets wet - The numbers on each slot are hard to view once the slides are in. If say you want to view slide 16, you would have to count each slide to get to it, or perhaps play the guessing game.( If the manufacturer is reading this, you can offset the numbers so that they can be viewed easily with the slides in the slot) This set is great for kids who are being introduced to these concepts. Overall, a good buy.

This AmScope PS25 Prepared Microscope Slide Set is a good value. The slides are well-prepared and labeled, easy to use, and come in a nice, sturdy, wooden storage box. They are easy to remove from and return to the box and keep clean. Very useful, and just the right size and thickness, I would definitely purchase this set of slides again; five stars from me.

These microscope slides are great for my 6 year old science obsessed son! They have the description on them and then list all of the items: some favorites are dog cardiac muscle, and rabbit spinal cord (things we could have never explored under the microscope at home without the help of these pre-made slides. The complete list of included slides is noted in the product description and was 100% accurate. I ended up writing numbers on the slides that corresponded to the key to help make sure we were putting them in the proper slots. We have a decent quality kid microscope and they worked well. I like using these pre-made slides rather than the limited number of slides we can create at home. This would be a great addition to any homeschool co-op or science lab. The case is unfinished wood with a little clasp that secures it. I would not recommend transporting them very much as some of the slides have nicks in the sides from bouncing around in the case because they are in there close and tight.

This was a Christmas gift for grandsons. I thought it was a very nice set but at ages 6 & 9 they played with it one day for about 20 minutes & were bored & ran back to their tv’s & video games! I sat & played with it longer than them. It’s kinda hard to see you have to keep adjusting the microscope, The slides were well made but Microsoft cheap so hard to see items unless we just don’t know what we are doing.
