What would I need a pound of dice for?

Depending on the game you play you need different dice and usually more than one of each type (d4, d6, d8, d10, d12 and d20). This bag includes them all. You will probably never need as much as a pound. So, you can keep them as spare dice, or you can share them, sell them, give them away, etc.

I realize that I am a little to analytical about some things but how does a pound of dice have a shipping weight of 14.4 ounces?

Would the flaws in the factory-second dice potentially damage their randomness?

Potentially, but rarely. A factory second could be a minor thing like the paint on one facet wasn’t up to standards. No dice is truly random, the mass taken out to carve 10 is greater than that to carve 1 and affects rolls even if you don’t notice it. Superficial painted numbers vs carved still have this issue because the paint needed for 18 is heavier than the paint needed for 1 Get over it and toss the bad dice in jail.

i ordered the pund- o- dice, and got 100 six sided dice.not happy, i needed those dice by today, what am i supposed to do?

If all you got was 6's I know I would have been Pissed. In the little manila envelope included in the package would be a complete basic set. A 20, 12, 10, 8, 6, and a 4. In the event there is not a reasonable mix otherwise, I got 30 6's my self, borrow at tonight's session. Take a Pic now send to Chessix and ask if that is a fair mix for a Pound-o-dice.Let us know what results.
