Incredible Quality and Value ā A Must-Have 4K Projector for Home Cinema Enthusiasts!
Iāve been using the ViewSonic PX701-4K UHD Home Cinema Projector for almost a year now, and it has completely exceeded my expectations. This projector delivers stunning 4K clarity with incredible brightness, thanks to its 3,200 ANSI lumens. Even in well-lit rooms, the image remains sharp and vibrant, making it perfect for any viewing experience, day or night. Setting it up was straightforward, and the 1.1x optical zoom makes positioning easy in any space. The built-in 10-watt speaker is a nice bonus, although I sync it up easily through Bluetooth to a larger more impressive system, although the in machine speaker offers surprisingly clear audio for casual viewing without needing additional sound equipment. Plus, the HDR support adds an extra layer of depth to the colors, making movies and shows look amazing. When I was shopping for a home cinema projector, there were so many options that it felt overwhelming. However, Amazonās detailed product description and customer reviews helped guide me to a product I can trust wholeheartedly. Iām grateful for the confidence Amazon instilled in this purchase. I highly recommend this projector to anyone wanting an affordable, high-quality 4K experience at homeāthank you, Amazon, for bringing such a fantastic product to your lineup!

PS5, movies and Sport. PX701-4K
I'm actually surprised how good this is for gaming. I know it's advertised as a gaming projector but really didn't think I'd use it over the TV. I'm positioned about 4m away on a 120" screen and gaming is really good. No it's not as bright as the TV but I only really game at night so it's not the end of the world as its dark enough. Watching in day light isn't great. I have a window measuring 120cm x 210cm about 1-2m from the screen to the left of it and any time before 8pm (currently british summer), if you value image quality is pointless. Once I have blinds in the window I'm sure it will be fine but I avoid daylight watching at the mo because it's just too washed out for me. Once it's a bit darker though its spot on. Don't bother with SD picture (depending on screen size) on 120" SD images are appalling. Go FHD or 4k though and things are so much BETTER and make sense again. Pretty easy to set up. Definitely fiddle with picture settings a bit. You can get so much more background detail etc when you play about compared to out of the box settings. Colours looked really weird on sport out of the box too. Just pause an image on the screen and see what looks best to you. Overall very happy at £700.

Good projector.. but itās not the right choice for most people
It has good video quality, but itās a hassle to set it all up if you donāt know what youāre doing. It took me a while and i feel like it could be a little better. HDR on it is absolutely horrendous. The speakers on it are horrible and sound like a cheap childrenās toy. It also has loud coil while (basically if you donāt know what that means, itās electricity passing through the whole thing and making noise.) Itās loud and insanely annoying which leads to me having to turn it off directly from power which is also a hassle. Unlike other projectors, it needs a lot of room to display the advertised 200 inch screen. If you have a small room and youāre projecting on a wall 2m away, itāll be only a 50 inch screen. It is made of plastic and it doesnāt feel very high quality, and I feel it would be more reasonable for most people to purchase a normal TV and it would be a better experience for them. A normal TV will be a lot cheaper, and for the price youāre paying for this itās not really good value for money. Overall, good focus, good picture quality, but horrendous speakers and coil whine. If you are purchasing this to replace a TV, I would not recommend it. It is extremely time consuming and it will take hours for you to properly adjust the picture settings. It is impossible for it to look somewhat good when connected to a windows PC. I use mine with an Apple TV 4K on SDR. If you donāt know what youāre doing, DONT BUY IT!

Runs very loud
The fans are very loud, and even worse there was a high pitched whine (coil whine?) which was intolerable. Not sure if it was a fault with the one I had, but ended up returning sadly. The picture itself was outstanding and worked well with Xbox One X.

Poor Colours and Brightness
PX-701 4K ... For the amount of money paid, I would expect far more from a projector, the whole point for getting a 4k is to see a screen with a decent colour. This projector might tick boxes in detail and pixel shifting, but that's pointless when is so dull and lifeless. If the contrast and colour are adjusted in manual, it scrapes close to passible, however in doing that, the dark scenes are virtually invisible. All in all , I would not recommend this a contender at £900, I went back to a 15 year old quality projector and there isn't much difference. To add the loud noise , tacky remote, for this money, you expect something half premium. There should be separate review page for each model to give the buyer a better buying experience. not wade through a bunch of review on unrelevent models. Extremely underwhelmed and dissapointed.

Good picture, sound lacking.
Tested with xbox series X on a lightly coloured wall. Picture is great even at the edges of the screen. Wording is clear. 240hz only available for 1080p however. 4k is in 60hz. Does not tick all boxes in series x display settings. Speaker lacking in sound but passable. Great for gaming with a headset even in brighter conditions with curtains closed. Some darker areas of films are grainy in shadows but can be tweaked in settings. Overall a good projector. Big step up from the cheaper 1080p ones which I wouldn't even bother with now, after testing them. Its worth paying more for something like this instead. Buying separate speakers is recommended. Closest to cinema quality i have seen for under £800. Unfortunately died after couple months. Not worth the hassle of replacement and maintainance. Just get a bigger tv

I bought this about 5 months ago. I wanted a projector for a medium sized space, which I could play games at 4k, and watch movies, whilst also being able to switch between my PC and Nintendo Switch 2 (once it was released). I am more than happy with my purchase! Pros - - Can play 4k games - Large screen area (roughly 1.8x1.5m) - Can be mounted upside down. Cons - - Expensive - Fan noise is a little loud, but not overly so - 4k movies are not good to watch - the low Hz (60) makes them jittery Overall though, a fantastic buy! I would buy again if I was to relive the moment with my knowledge!

Hasta ahora, todo muy bien con este proyector. Relamente no necesita estar completamente oscuro para observar una imagen decente. La resolucion es muy buena y el contraste con los tonos oscuros es realmente bueno.

I wanted to add a review for using this as a computer monitor in case others were thinking of the same. The unit is very bright. I don't have to close my windows if I'm looking at high contrast things like text. Color isn't maybe as good as more expensive projectors, but I found it to be fine. I found that using 1080p resolution for desktop use was better than 4k as the pixels are a bit fuzzy at that resolution which makes text not look as good. This is due to the pixel shifting tech used (any 4k projector sub $1600-2000 will use this). The screen is very detailed at 4k showing movies and games, however, and the pixel shifting kind of adds a bit of an anti-aliasing effect. I dare say I might actually prefer a pixel shifting projector for computer use as it lets you decide between 4k 60hz and 240hz 1080p with both modes having their own strengths. I feel I have two monitors I like for different reasons which is cool. There is just a slight perceptible lag on 4k, but its really not bad. I don't notice any at 1080p 240hz. And it really does go that high, the difference between 120 and 240hz is noticeable, and it looks really good at the high refresh rate. I actually prefer it over my 144hz 1440p monitor. I don't think this would be good enough for esports compared to a 240hz monitor, but its very close. Remember to use the game mode. Overall it works better than I expected as a computer monitor and I'm happy with it and feel it was a good value for the money. Other thoughts -I wish the power plug was longer. I'm not going to install this in ceiling, and I had to use an extension cord for it to reach down to a plug that is only a few feet horizontally away. -The remote is a bit old fashioned looking. Not a big deal to me but I think ViewSonic should update the design. -Sometimes the unit makes a strange whirling sound that is annoying. Usually it doesn't and it has done it less as I have used it. Its not the fan, it sounds like something is spinning that is not lubricated. When this isn't happening I found the fan noise to be fairly low and constant. -Its very easy to switch between modes like normal and eco, needing only one button to be hit. This is really nice since the bulb has a lifespan. If I know I'm going to step away from the computer for a few minutes or am going to just be looking at text I can switch it to super eco in two seconds. -SuperEco at 240hz flickers, changing to a different refresh rate fixes this. Some tips: -Dynamic Eco is basically as good as normal in terms of color and brightness at least when its showing a bright image. That's my main setting. I think it just dims when the screen is dark. It is better than eco (but not super eco) in terms of bulb life according to the manual. -Make sure your resolution is 1920 by 1080 if you want 240hz. If its 1920 by 1200 if will default to 120hz. -if the projector is located above you, make sure you turn the projector upside down. It will need next to no keystone correction that way which keeps the image at native.
