Having to write different reports on aircraft out on the flight line. I wouldn't say waterproof but it got the job done. I don't do much writing in the rain but the comfort of this one with my arthritic hands is second to none. Highly recommend. I would suggest you grab a few refill cartridges they're inexpensive. I get a couple months out of one. Enjoy the pen, I've got 2. **Q: Will these fit the Bastion mini Bolt Action... it says "all"?** A: all standard size pens; it will not fit our mini. Use ASIN: B0B4T4R2FY for our mini version **Q: what is the length of this refill?** A: It looks similar to a Parker G2 refill. Length should be 98 mm. **Q: Are the Bastion refill ink cartridges refillable ?** A: Ballpoint pen refills work exclusively with our Bastion Bolt-Action Pens.
