It seemed to work, but the smell of the cream was off-putting (it contains Sulfur, Hydrocortisone and salicylic acid.) Also, when used around the lips, it created a strange taste in my mouth. It could potentially help people that require faster healing, but, because of the above, I couldn't continue using it. 3. La Roche-Posay, Toleriane Sensitive Creme (Protective Soothing Moisturizer): This was recommended both by a Pharmacist and ChatGPT. It is one of the best and milder creams to use for moisturizing the inflamed skin. However, in my case, the soothing didn't last and itching would return after a few hours. Also the skin would sting somewhat while putting it on. But the moisturizing effect was visible and lasting. FRUDIA Avocado Relief Face Cream, Calming Korean Face Moisturizer w/62% Avocado Extract, Centella Asiatica & MadecassosideX4 for Dry, Sensitive Skin (desertcart): This was my second favorite after SebClair. (I had tried an avocado-butter based cream while in Europe which actually worked well in soothing and protecting the face as well as reducing itchiness, but since I couldn't find anything similar in here in the US, I looked for avocado-based creams on desertcart.) The FRUDIA Avocado works beautifully. I stays on the skin longer; protects, sooths, and moisturizes. I still use it after shaving and to maintain softness / calmness. The tube lasts me at least a couple of months, good value for your money. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing seb derm product *by A***S on January 28, 2020* I have never left a product review before, but this product is truly amazing. I have had seb derm in the winter for about 10 years now, always using some kind of anti-fungal to kill the yeast and either steroids, Elidel, Eucrisa, or just moisturizers, or harsh salicylic acid to try to deal with the redness, itching, and scaling. Many others are probably used to this cycle: an anti-fungal strips your skin and makes you more vulnerable to flares of this chronic condition. So you apply creams that are inevitably too thick or oily and make the yeast component of the condition, )or other acne-like or rosacea conditions), start up again. Sebclair is sold under the prescription name Promiseb in the US. It is available from Europe without a prescription. It has a gentle anti-fungal, plus lactic acid instead of salicylic acid. So it deals with the scaliness while also moisturizing instead of stripping the skin. Within two days of 2x/day use, my skin was completely clear. After one application, I could tell it absorbed nicely and wasn't greasy like Elidel, Eucrisa, etc. It made the skin feel simply quenched. All but one patch of scaliness on my cheek disappeared. After one more application that night, even that patch had disappeared. I have no signs that it will return, such as the subtle redness, itchiness, or swelling that always in the past have hinted at the problem still being there. I would use this as an all-over moisturizer if it weren't quite as expensive. If you are worried that the yeast will feed off of the moisturizers in this as with so many other creams, don't be! There is an anti-fungal that takes care of that after the yeast are lured by some of the other ingredients, as I read in a European product review. Dermatologists are mostly not even aware of this product. I heard a dermatologist say that it wasn't better than other shea butter products, but I think the proportions in this are ideal. If you are concerned that there is not an "active ingredient," also do not fear! There are several fantastic ingredients for the skin on top of the anti-fungal and lactic acid. Can't recommend this enough for rosacea and seborrheic dermatitis overlap. I can even use a retinoid again for fine lines and any other issues without having to worry that it will destroy the skin in the areas with seb derm. Maybe best of all, there are no harsh ingredients to worry about combining with others, if pregnant and breastfeeding, or for long-term use. It basically heals the skin barrier, attacking the root of the problem...and overnight!
