It works just fine. From what I gather, if you have Bluetooth 4.0, you should be good. However, every system is different and the amount of "massaging" to get this keyboard to work will probably vary greatly. But I think for best results: Bluetooth 4.0 + Windows 10 = no headaches. Also, on a "cool" note, I was able to pair this keyboard to my iPhone 6 Plus with no problems-works great for any typing situation on my smartphone: email, text messages, internet search, etc. Of course, it IS a Microsoft keyboard meant for Windows, so there are no handy iOS shortcuts. **Q: Is this designed to be backward-compatible with Bluetooth 3?** A: The Surface Ergonomic Keyboard is not backward-compatible with Bluetooth 3.0 devices, it will only work with Bluetooth 4.0.
