Review: For the price these are a fantastic pair of headphones. Whether you just like listening to music whilst you play games or study, the open-back aspect, the lightness, soft ear muffs and leather makes it feel very comfortable and you can wear them for hours on end without getting sweaty or a headache. Open-backs make it feel a lot more spacious, almost as if you aren't even wearing the headphones, granted you hear background noise but for some depending on where you are it might be a desirable feature. Pair the headphones with a decent AMP or DAC and you will certainly get some banging tunes/audio quality. Personally I have the Topping L30 paired with a D50s and it goes very well with the headphones. So far after 3 years of ownership no dramas, I've dropped them several times and nothing has snapped or broken. All the components have shown barely any signs of wear and tear which is credit to the good quality materials used for the leather and other components. Pros: - Head strap is very flexible and automatically adjusts to your head size making it super easy for anyone to wear them - Ear Muffs easily come off with a twist and pull - Open Back - Super comfortable for long hours of wearing Cons: - MiniXLR adapter (not a common cable) I had to buy a replacement for $50 - You will accidentally forget that you are wearing them because of how soft they are :)

Ho acquistato questo modello perché sono "Cuffie Aperte" ciò significa che si può anche sentire se qualcuno ti parla mentre le stai usando. E viceversa, dall'esterno si sente il suono di ciò che si sta ascoltando. Questo implica che sono cuffie per utilizzo in ambienti non rumorosi. Molto comodi i cuscinetti "memory" degli auricolari che si adattano perfettamente prendendo la forma del viso (ottimi per me che le utilizzo con gli occhiali). Preferiscono l'utilizzo di un suono amplificato (dovuto alla loro impedenza di 68 Ohm), altrimenti utilizzandole direttamente su un iPhone per esempio o su di un PC, si dovrà alzare il volume al 70-80% e ciò generalmente andrà a discapito della qualità del suono. Cosa che invece non accade con un buon amplificatore. Questo non significa doverle utilizzare ad un elevato volume. Sono infatti cuffie che rendono molto bene ad un volume medio-basso, dove si può apprezzare la loro resa dinamica. Hanno infatti una buona dinamica. Non vengono enfatizzati i bassi. Rendono gli alti in modo cristallino. Sui medi hanno un picco intorno ai 2KHz per poi riabbassarsi e di nuovo rialzarsi intorno ai 3KHz. E' una loro caratteristica che le rende particolari soprattutto nello spettro vocale. Non hanno quindi un comportamento "piatto" nella loro dinamica e questa loro caratteristica le rende molto "interessanti". Volendo, la loro particolare risposta in frequenza può essere sempre compensata a piacimento agendo sull'equalizzatore del nostro Amp. Grazie a questa loro caratteristica dinamica rendono molto bene la separazione degli strumenti ed al tempo stesso hanno una resa nello spettro vocale direi molto "intima" e piacevole. Vengono considerate tra le migliori cuffie per il "Gaming" poiché danno in modo eccezionalmente bene il senso della direzione dalla quale provengono i suoni. Ottime quindi per giochi dove si debba valutare velocemente da che direzione stia arrivando il "nemico". Si ha veramente il senso dello spazio intorno a noi. Non è facile scegliere delle cuffie che si adattino alle nostre esigenze: bisognerebbe poterle provare una dopo l'altra collegate a dell'ottima strumentazione, e valutandole per il tipo di suono, musica ecc. alla quale vogliamo utilizzarle. Non potendo farlo, ho cercato di seguire molte recensioni, specie su Youtube, fatte da professionisti del suono. Ho potuto così restringere la rosa su cui scegliere e, almeno per quelle che sono le mie esigenze, credo di averci indovinato.

**Q: Looking at the 712 and 612. I am a musician who also does production. Why would I want to spend the extra money for the 712s?  Thanks.**
A: I own the 712's and 702's, but not the 612's so I can't fully comment on your question. However, I can say that the 712's are much better than the 702's. The 712's have a richer bass tone, which more than makes up for the lack of bass in the 702's. With the 702's I was producing mixes that actually had too much bass to compensate. The 712's are extremely clear, clean sounding, yet extremely flat too (except maybe a tiny boost in the bass, but it is not a boomy sound - still very clean). You can listen to them for a long time without getting fatigue. Also, they are more comfortable than the 702's. Another headphone that I really love is the Audio Technica ATH-M50's. They are definitely more fun to listen to than the 712's, and way better than Dr. Dre Pro's, but the highs and lows seem to be a bit more exaggerated (which is why they sound so good). They are closed back too, which makes them not quite as good for mixing as the 712's. But, they are in the $100-$150 price range. I hope this helps...

**Q: I just got this. The small disc on the outside of the left earpiece is falling out. I can press it into place but falls out again. How to fix it?**
A: What disc? The disc behind the earpad that is a part of the earpad? Or the gray disc that is a part of the outer headphone itself? If it's the outer part I have no idea. If you're talking about the clear disc you will need to attach it with some kind of apoxy to the earpad.

**Q: What are the ear cushions made of? I'm concerned of the ear cushions fit as some may hurt my ears or how hard it will clamp onto my head.**
A: These are the most comfortable I have worn. Ear cups are large and easily fit around my ears with very little pressure.

**Q: Are they made in Austria?**
A: I bought my K712 Pros through Amazon back in Sep 2014.  They are stamped made in Austria on both ear cups.

For the price these are a fantastic pair of headphones. Whether you just like listening to music whilst you play games or study, the open-back aspect, the lightness, soft ear muffs and leather makes it feel very comfortable and you can wear them for hours on end without getting sweaty or a headache. En mi caso estaba eligiendo entre los Sennheiser hd600 o estos y me decidí por estos. No soy experto en audio pero ya he tenido otros Sennheiser y para mí,que me gusta escuchar música de todo tipo, necesitaba utilizar algunas herramientas de ecualización para lograr algo agradable. Debo decir que estoy completamente satisfecho con estos audífonos AKG, estos no necesitan ecualización y tienen un poco más de color en los graves, la música moderna se escucha espectacular. Yo recomiendo estos audífonos para escuchar música y jugar videojuegos, solo que son bastante sensibles y la música por streaming como Spotify pues, se nota mucho cuando hay mal calidad de las grabaciones. Simplemente son increíbles yo los combiné con un amplificador soundblaster g6 y aunque es demasiado ampli para ellos el sonido es espectacular.
