Leaving the wire curled up and testing the range I found I could get 150 feet from the receiver and the hand held remote transmitter was able to connect and control 100% of the time. As I went beyond that point out to 175 and beyond the receiver was having difficulty seeing the click of the remote. It would work intermittently only.Uncurling the wire and making it stand upright I repeated the experiment and was able to get out to 225 feet before the receiver was no longer able to reliably respond to the remote. At 225 feet it was 100% reliable. Beyond that I could get it to work intermittently.Great features with their system able to interchange remotes from one relay or the other. The ability to program each button is brilliant and very flexible. I'll use a two button remote to control my system and a three button remote to program my strobes and then put it away until needed later. The remotes feel good in the hand, not cheap.Installation is simple with two wires for + and - 12 VDC and then the relay one input and the two outputs. One output is normally closed - it connects to the relay's common input when at rest and goes off/opens when the relay activates. The second output is normally open - it is disconnected from the relay's common input when at rest and comes one when the relay activates.I attempted to measure the current draw of the receiver deactivated and the current draw is so small my digital meter does read it - it's less than 0.01 amps. With the relay activated I read 0.025 amps or about 1/3 of a watt power so this thing is very frugal. I have no concerns about leaving this on my car battery for weeks and months at that low of a drain.There are no written instructions included so just print out the photo here or follow the video. I bought a total of five of these relays and will likely buy more. Good product. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing *by M***N on Reviewed in the United States on April 21, 2021* These are cost effective solutions to bring the yard into the 21 century. Two remotes, two controllers, and the SPDT relay contacts are totally uncommitted allowing you to do what you need with them. It draws just 5mA in the quiescent state from a 12v power supply, and about 60mA when the relay is energized. They have great range, about 300' in my backyard is no problem. I programmed button A on one remote to toggle one receiver, and button B for the second receiver. The only negative is that programming them has to be done with the plastic snap lid removed, and it is the lid that has the mounting feet, so they have to be floating when you set them up. You have to be able to push the learn button. Maybe I could have drilled a hole through the lid and used a toothpick to press the button.The remotes are sturdy, well made, with chrome metal trim. I used it to trick my jeeps horn so I could pass inspection without having to replace a very pricy part.The best features are that it's compact, it has, NO and NC, it runs on an easy 12v, and it also has constant pressure activation instead of pulsed. Good little device for any little project you may have. It also breaks apart really easily so you can integrate the circuitry.
