To achieve the thickness you are after we’d suggest building it up in consecutive layers, at least four layers, allowing each to dry before applying the next. This is to help prevent cracking as modeling paste may crack if applied too thickly all at once. You can use a hair dryer to speed up the drying process of the first three layers. We recommend allowing the last layer to dry naturally to minimise the chance of any cracks forming in the final layer.
