Copper Sulfate Pentahydrate 99.9% Crystals - 10 Lbs.

I bought this 4 yrs ago to treat around septic tank covers to prevent root incursion. I also dissolved in water and sprayed on an asphalt shingle roof to remove mold/mildew/algae stains. It did a great job as, over time, the stains disappeared and have not returned.

When I had a plumbing clog, a plumber came and discovered roots in the pipe. He tired to tear them up a bit, but also sold me 2lbs of this and said dump 2lb down the toilet every 6 month to kill the roots. I had to lay $40 for 2lb. I later found this 10lb back for $40 and was quite pleased to buy it at a much better price. After another backup, a better plumber confirmed this was good stuff and I should keep using it. They were amazed at this good price. If you live in an old house with cast iron pipes and large trees around, you might want to do some preventive maintenance. FYI, the good plumber (actually drainage pipe experts) let me know that with my old cast iron pipes, "good" toilet paper like Charmin and Northern, uses lots of glue to make the TP "good". But for old pipes like mine, these can get caught and they won't dissolve for a long time. They had me switch to Angel Soft. I disklike this compared to Northern, but I have to use it. I have also disliked Costco TP, but that is probably because it is "bad" like Angel Soft (and probably cheaper, so I might switch to that).

Use this product for our main sewer line. The amount and size is perfect for flushing.

Works great on aquatic weeds. I threw into pond and it killed weeds in days. Does not harm wildlife. will definitely buy again

The product arrived on time and was as described. They are mostly large crystals 2mm, 1/16-1/8 inch or more and will take several minutes to dissolve. However if you put the in a water circulation unit a tablespoon will dissolve in a bout 5 minutes which was excellent in one application. They will also dissolve faster in warm or hot water. I used a fairly solution watery blue 4tbs/gal on some slate papers and stone which I have had moss and algea growing constantly in the spring and fall and it seems this year I didn't have the growth issue of the slightly fishy smell. I also put 1tbsp in a pool swimmer about ever 2wks. I haven't had algea ever since and I was able to run the pool with much lower levels of chlorine. I have had all kinds of issues with the secondary effects of trees shedding into the pool that require me to use a lot more algea control solutions. After I started using this the pool is quite clear and there seems to be no visible secondary growth from organic shedding of the trees. I haven't observed any corrosion or attac to pvc fixtures from the applications so far and I'm not expecting to see any for years. I would recommend this product as long as the use involves low levels and there's no aquatic creatures which you want alive in the path of the product.
