I have not had a problem with leakage since I use pressure sensitive liners in the caps that seals them. I believe that they would work for oil based products if you use a liner in the cap, but have not tried it with that type of product. **Q: What size labels fit these bottles?** A: 3" x 5" labels wrap these bottles nicely. **Q: Do you need to wash the bottles before using?** A: I didn’t wash them. They didn’t have a smell. I used them for travel/cruise for shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc. **Q: One of the tops of my 8oz bottles arrived damaged. We cut the pump bottles to get to the lotion that is not being pulled into the straw pumps anymore, then scooped it carefully into these bottles. They are working great at helping us not waste product. The flip-top caps work fine and the bottles are not too difficult to squeeze. There is a thicker formula in one of the bottles that requires more force to squeeze out, so the plastic is getting wrinkled for that bottle. But otherwise these are holding up quite well so far.
