My old battery was original and had almost half capacity. The first battery I got had a broken connector on it so I returned it and the replacement was fully intact. The tools that come with the battery are 2 Phillips screwdrivers, a couple command adhesive strips, and some plastic pry tools to get the phone open. It doesn't include the torx driver you will need to get the bottom 2 screws near the charge port out in order to remove the back case so make sure you have that.
