He did need a bit of help with some areas of construction, but for the most part is great at reading the picture "directions" and loves his pirate ship. Hours and hours of fun. He had to stay organized, follow directions, and show some patience and commitment. He got it done in one day...he didn't move from the table until he finished it! His 7-1/2 yr old brother received a couple of the other castle sets. These are wonderful sets and the boys played with them for at least 2 or more hours every day while at my home.
