Brown not smooth lumpy Uber with mixing need to replace brown only if possible ?

I found the brown to be lumpy as well. Most if not all of the other colors were fine. I never asked if they would replace the brown, I believe other people found the brown to be an issue as well. Thin it with water until you can smooth out the lumps - not too much! or it will get too thin. You could try to contact Speedball to see what they say, I didn't think it was worth it. I use the Amaco Velvet underglazes now, it's more expensive but worth it and it's what my pottery studio uses. Good luck!!

What happens if glaze is applied to greenware fired to cone 04

first of all this speedball is an underglaze and can be put on greenware and fired to 04. There is no silica or glaze in this underglaze so your piece won’t be shiny. Once fired to 04 your piece will have the color you put on your piece. If you want it shiny you have to apply a zinc free clear glaze.

What happens to the red and orange colors if fired to cone 10?

I have fired both red and orange in Cone 10. I recommend test glazing first on your specific clay body. I've used stoneware and Porcelain. Different shades are produced. Also, depending upon placement in the kiln, etc. I get different shades each time. I do like Speedball underglazes! Have fun!

Would this paint (glaze) be appropriate to use on a clay chiminea?

Do you mean to be used on an already finished ceramic piece? No. It must be applied to an unfinished piece of clay and fired. It is not to be used to decorate and already fired piece. The glaze will not absorb or be cured in this way

Good selection of colors

As previous reviews before, some of the colors are quite thick and some are thin. I like the selection of colors and have used these often for underglazing clay pottery before bisque firing for soft colors. A second coat of colors to deepen colors and sharpen lines, then clear glaze, and the results are quite good, even though I am just a beginner. I would recommend this selection to anyone wanting to experiment with colors, don't be afraid to mix and match!
