So you're saying that dr martens changed their wonder balsam formula to include synthetic waxes?

Yes, it’s NOT the GOOD OLD FORMULA from years ago that contained only beeswax, lanolin, and coconut oil. TRULY A SHAME. I lament over this as I used the old formula for conditioning vintage collectible holsters. Didn’t even use it for shoes. Moderns shoes will accept the new stuff, quality old leather won’t... nothing great ever stays great. Companies will always find a way to make it cheaper and most people don’t care....

Can this be used on the vegan leather boots?

Beeswax is not vegan. Suggest not using a leather conditioner on non-leather boots.

Why is it "Men's" balm?

It's not, it works equally well on their men's and women's boots. I'm sure they just labeled it as that so it would show up in a search for accessories for men's boots. There's probably "women's" version somewhere on the site for the same reason, but it's the same stuff.

Should I use this on just bought brand new Docs or wait until there's a little wear and use on them?

[Prefacing this by saying this brand has changed LOT in the last 5 years and their attention to quality across brand has declined noticeably. I still love the look of these shoes, I have 9 pairs, but this may not apply anymore. This new formula now contains strange synthetic ingredients and I would not recommend buying it unless they change back.] When I was able to shop at the in person store, I was informed that all docs come from the factory already treated with the basalm, so you're good to wait a little while before treating your boots!

Lo compré después del primer uso que le dí a un par de dr martens nuevas. Antes del bálsamo las botas eran sumamente duras e incómodas, después de ponerles bálsamo se hicieron más suaves y nunca más volvieron a doler.
