The HotHands Lap Warmer is a wonderful product! I was so happy when I discovered it when looking for portable self-heating packs. I’ve long used the handwarmers, but they are awfully small. The lap warmers are huge — 16” x 10”. It is essentially like 8 of the Super Handwarmers all in one large mat. It is excellent for camping in cooler weather — just activate it and it gets super hot! You do need to be mindful of how hot it can get. If you keep it under a blanket, it stays super warm for many hours! Although it says “Up to 8 hours of Long Lasting Heat”, I’ve had warmers last longer by keeping under a blanket. They are super easy to activate - just open the pack and start shaking them up. Within minutes warmth occurs like magic! I bought several of these for emergency use as well as for camping purpose. I figured if power ever goes out in winter, these could be an instant lifesaver! It just so happened after the last massive ice storm, we were able to donate to a local elderly woman who lived alone and lost power during the ice storm and was unable to get out of her home. Needless to say, this helped her until she was able to get her heating fixed. Definitely worth it to keep on hand! These are great items for cold days outside or during winter power outages. Highly recommend. And yes, they do last eight hours. We wouldn't be without these in our house any more. Very durable for its use.

I took this camping with me and woke up to about 30° weather, and it was still hot and keeping me warm. It has eight HotHands sewn into one blanket, which makes a huge difference. Super comfortable, long-lasting heat, and perfect for cold mornings or outdoor trips. Definitely a great buy and worth the money.

warm goes fast in colder weather

Perfect gift to everyone in our family that had to deal with a cold winter. They heat up fast and last a long time.

Bought these for camping and they worked so well my spouse and I had to take off layers overnight! Stayed warm even through breakfast the next morning. I will absolutely get these again for cold events or camping.

Picked up for my dad who is doing chemo who is constantly cold and I appreciate it how large these were and how a few of them could make for an extra layer of warmth. He seemed to appreciate them as well.
