But easy to cheek rest and see through. Perfect size. I would guess you could get a 50 mm scope on here. My CVA Wolf uses #8-40 1/4" screws, but it didn't come with that size screws, and good luck finding them, because they are nit a common size. On top of that, the ring screws were the wrong size as well. Personally, I think I'd just buy another base that has the correct screws. Had to remove the rear iron sight on my CVA Wolf for the objective lens of a Nikon Buckmasters II 3-9x40 to fit, thats the reason for 4 stars, although thats more the scope/gun than the mount. The Wolf is a light enough rig that the weight of the mount isn't really an issue, as I'm not trying to build an ultra-light tacticool muzzleloader.
