Annoying New USB Storage
I had the previous version of this pointer and loved it, but then I misplaced the USB piece.I had read in other reviews that this one was different in some not-so-great ways, but I thought Iโd give it a go anyway.I absolutely HATE that the USB storage is inside the battery compartment of the unit. I do a lot of my workshops at different locations, and I sometimes have to use other peopleโs computers to present. With the other version, there was a gaping hole in the unit which made it impossible to forget if I hadnโt removed the USB before leaving. Now, itโs so much easier to forget to grab the USB at the end of the workshop. Itโs also about the size of a thumbnail, so itโs much more likely to go missing. I also know from having kids who constantly open and close the battery compartments of our remote controls that repeated opening and closing leads to a loose latch. That hasnโt happened yet because I have only used it a dozen or so times so far, but I can see it coming.I also donโt like the on/off switch. I know I will get used to it eventually, but right now, I keep thinking something is wrong and that the batteries are dead or the unit wonโt sync with the computer.I gave 3 stars because functionality is the same. It does a great job with the pointer and with advancing the slides. I just canโt stand the โupgradesโ they made.

Kensington Wireless Presenter: It Clicks!
I needed a clicker so I'm no longer tethered to my laptop and can walk up to my audience for added effect. After a quick research, I ended up with two finalists: Logitech R400 and this Kensington Wireless Presenter (Model: K33272WW). You can't go wrong with either one but if you're Mac user like myself, the Kensington seems to work more consistently.Pros ๐๐๐- Ergonomics: This clicker disappears in the palm of your hand, literally โ๐จ๐ See photos attached ๐ธ- Layout: The 4-Button arrangement is foolproof ๐- Range: 65 ft is more than adequate for most scenarios. And yes, I've tested it ๐ค- Setup: Just Plug and Play๐๐ (Note: I have to use a dongle for my MacBook Pro 13" (2020 model year) and this clicker works without a hitch).- Security: AES 128-bit encryption is an added peace of mind.- Storage: The nano 2.4GHz receiver can be housed inside the battery compartment. See photos attached ๐ธCons ๐๐- The On/Off Slider is not color coded which makes it hard to see at a glance ๐ง๐๐ธ- I really wish I didn't have to open the battery compartment to store the little receiver. Sure, it keeps the receiver where I can I find it but that battery door feels like it's going to break over time ๐คจ- Warranty: Kensington's website and registration process is anything but user-friendly. In this day and age, this is unacceptable.FYI, you can find the serial number inside the cover of the battery compartment ๐My Verdict ๐คI have no problem recommending this product, especially if you're a Mac user. I doubt PC users will have any issues though. If you have big hands and needed something more substantial, the Logitech R400 makes a very good alternative.Hope this review has helped you make a more informed buying decision. Improved for the better
Used the previous version and liked it so much I bought one for myself. The ON/OFF switch is a great improvement. Wish it had a wrist lanyard to prevent dropping it. Works on Windows or Mac.

Easy to use and comfortable to hold
This design seems to favor function over form. That's why I like it. And it just works when plugged in. The buttons are intuitively laid out.

Newer version not as good
This is a classic remote. Simple (less to screw up when it counts) and ergonomic. Unfortunately the new version has the usb fob inside the battery compartment instead of easily accessed from the outside, so I have to pop off the battery cover any time to use it and the battery cover breaking was the reason I needed to buy a new one in the first place. The original version has the fob popping out from the back end which is way better for traveling presenters.

The Computer Attachment Isn't Housed in the Clicker
Don't get me wrong, I love this clicker in particular. As a teacher, I've used clickers for years and I always come back to this one. That said, I've replaced many over the years and this is the first one I've bought where the little USB piece that plugs into your computer doesn't conveniently click back into the clicker when you're done. I know it's only a short matter of time before something catastrophic happens to the USB piece and I'll be buying another one, however, if they're no longer making them as a cohesive unit I may have to branch out to a less appealing shape for a more practical piece of tech. I shouldn't be as annoyed as I am by this, but it really is a downgrade on a product that was previously pretty perfect.
