Aliens

If you are an Aliens fanatic AND a hobbyist, thia game is a dream come true. I have assembled piles of models and minis from Games Workshop and other companies and these models are on par in terms of quality, detail and ease of assembly. I cannot wait to paint these. Card and paper components are hefty and printed in very good detail and resolution. NOTE.. If you do not enjoy the hobby aspect of gaming, i.e. meticulously clipping and assembling miniatures you may not enjoy this. I would say a moderate dexterity and experience would be ideal for this game. If you are unfamiliar with spru models do yourself a favor and get some spru snips/side cutters. Dont think about it, just get em... You can use a hobby knife to remove these from the sprues if you have a skilled hand but a decent 10 dollar pair of snips will save you much agony and time. As far as gameplay, it has a slight feel of nostalgia in regards to the old Leading Edge, Aliens board game. If you arent familiar with it, hit google. Its a long out of print classic that the minis for this game could also be used for. Solo/coop play is frankly ideal for the current state of the world given the need for social distancing. This game will be a grand slam for some an a frustration for others depending on expectation.

This is a great game. Not too complicated, but also not too easy. It hits a nice sweet spot between crunch, tactics, and ease of play. While the miniatures inside need to be assembled it is not that difficult to do so and most just need an arm or a gun glued on and then attached to their base. For most miniature gamers assembly will be a snap. For non-miniature gamers, assembly might be a bit annoying, but nothing major. Overall the game is very fun and can be challenging. It's worth the purchase for board gamers and minaiture gamers alike. Plus it's a must-have for fans of the movies.

This game has received a few unfair knocks for the amount of assembly required, and there is a lot. However, the game pieces are intricately detailed, something you simply couldn’t get with a single-piece molding. The marines will need a touch of paint to really shine, whereas then aliens can simply be assembled and left alone. The gameplay is fantastic and reminds me of a similar game I purchased years ago. The rules are straightforward and easy to follow, and situations can get tense very quickly. Played out a couple scenarios with a friend multiple times with vastly different results each time. This is an excellent board game and made with a lot of fan service in mind. Well made miniatures, quality components, and the hobby aspect makes it well worth it.

The game is high quality. All of the counters, game dials, character cards, and game boards are printed on thick card. Really heavy duty. Each piece pops out of the board cleanly with no damage to the counter. I love the feel of these things. The Marine models are super easy to assemble. The Alien models are easy to assemble with the exception of the tails. The tails are impossible to install. Each tail has a tiny nub that is supposed to match an indentation on the models butt. It took me hours to install 3 tails before I gave up. Threw the rest of the tails away. The models do not look too bad without tails. I would recommend watching a few YouTube vids after reading the rules to get the feel of the game. Once you get used to game flow, its a fast paced game that can go from "We are doing great" to "Game over, man ! " in a single blip draw. It can be played alone, and Its fun to do, but 2-3 players makes a great game. I would recommend this to anyone, those tails, they really suck. you can use a pin or some such modification, but we shouldn't have to do that.

bought this, the expansions, and the scenery kit and am running the expanded Campaign with friends. Absolutely the most fun i have had playing a board game in a long time. My one issue is the xenomorph models, their tails are an absolute pain. Making the models in 6 parts (not including the base) was a disaster in my opinion. yes they are customizable, but they are a pain to assemble. The tails do not connect easily and the heads all look basically the same anyway. I suggest pinning the tails, its what i had to do. Overall though, its a fantastic game that will never play the same way twice because of the randomness.

This game perfectly recreates and immerses it’s players in the world of Aliens. Though the miniatures were a hassle to put together, the sheer quality of the minis, makes it worth while. The game was easy to learn and teach. Best of all the cooperative aspect of the game makes sure everyone is having fun, rather than just the ones winning. Overall this game is a blast to play, as long as you are ok with “some assembly required.”

Game is fun and easy.. Pieces require assembly. If you aren't used to assembling small models, don't use scissors to cut out, use an xacto knife or something like Klein Tools D275-5 Pliers (but cheap version). Need a small file or xacto blade to clean up where you cut. Need super glue with fine dispensing head and instant hardner to vastly reduce assembly time (get one with a brush applicator and not a spray or you'll waste a lot).

Unfortunately I was missing 4 aliens, after I made all my miniatures I quickly realized the box said 16 aliens and I only had 12. I was missing a sprue for an additional 4 aliens which was disheartening as I had already made the rest of them. Other than that the game itself is enjoyable and interesting, just upset because it seems to be an issue with Amazon shipping these out open and with missing components. In hindsight I did notice my box had come with the plastic seal a bit torn which might have been a sign that it had been opened prior.

A caixa do jogo é importante que esteja em ótimas condições também, veio apenas embalada com um saco cinza, nem plástico bolha, resultado, veio com um enorme amassado na frente.

El juego està divertido incluso para mi compañero de piso que nunca ha visto las pelis, y las minis tienen buen aspecto. Vienen muchos xenomorfos, probablemente mas de los necesarios, pero para mi eso es un punto bueno. Al haver tantos, sin embargo, se tarda bastante en tenerlo todo montado, pero como ya he dicho hay muchos mas de los que se necesitan, así que se puede empezar a jugar habiendo montado solo los marines y la mitad de los aliens.

El juego está bien ambientado en la segunda película, aliens, y si te gusta la saga el juego es muy dusfrutable, no son personajes random son los de la peli, Son las armas de la peli y los escenarios recrean la peli. así que si te gustan las pelis es muy disfrutable. No descubre el hilo negro de los crawlers pero las mecánicas están bien implementadas a la tematica. Solo tiene un pero y eso depende... Las minis se ensamblan y se pegan, tiene partes muy pequeñas por lo q pienso se requiere q tengas un poco de experiencia o lo podrías pasar mal o hasta echar a perder alguna mini 6 si te gusta o y ya tienes experiencia , pues es un punto más a favor.

Colis arrivé, la boite de jeu sous blister simplement dans un carton, rien pour la caler... heureusement que rien ne pouvait bouger/casser. Contenu bien arrivé sans dommages, mais je pense que c'est à l'usine qu'il y a eu un bug: les espèces de rivets en plastique pour monter les 6 roues de munitions + les 2 des tourelles auto ne sont pas conformes: J'ai 2 rivets "femelle" et du coup un "male" manquant, donc j'ai réussi à monter une des roues avec une partie femelle seulement, mais ça ne tient que par frottement, sans la partie mâle ça ne va pas rester en place longtemps après de multiples utilisations... Pour un jeu reçu sous blister ça craint un peu, si ça avait d'occasion j'aurai mis 5 étoiles, mais là c'est NEUF. Peut-être que quelqu'un d'autre va avoir 2 parties mâles et il sera encore plus embêté que moi pour faire tenir les roues... d'où mes 3 étoiles seulement.
