How come there are no Manufacture Year of the cars this part is compatible with in the descriptions? I know the part number is already given ...

2004-2006 E60-E64 are the years and models that have this module. This is the newest revision so it's compatible with All the cars that have a MPM.

Is this item hadms to be coding to work or is just plug in and thats it.

Hello, From my experience it's just a plug and play install. Just make sure your connector and pins aren't melted or corroded since you will need to change them if they are. You must check for blown fuses once you install the new MPM if it doesn't power up.Regards,Tomas

Relocate the new one to higher ground. When my old one went, it also took out two fuses that were not obvious to find.
