Petrol-Gel NSF H1 Food Safe Lubricant-White Grease for O-Rings & Valves 4oz

This lubricant worked well to help allow a new gasket to slip into place on the E61 grouphead of my espresso machine. It's food-safe so I don't have to worry about contamination in my coffee.

I bought this sanitary lubricant for relubricating my new slicer after cleaning and reassembly. 4 ounces doesn't sound like a lot, and the tube doesn't look that big in the photo. Rest assured, it's HUGE; a lifetime supply for home users! The tube is fully 6" long, not counting the cap. This is a food-grade grease that's USDA-approved for incidental food contact. It's clear white, odorless, and about the consistency of Vaseline, maybe a little softer. It's clean, non-staining, and stable in long-term storage, unlike vegetable, olive or tropical oils that soon turn rancid. I've found it also works well in our Kitchen Aid stand mixers and the O-rings in marinade injectors.

I use this to lubricate the brew group in my Saeco Superautomatic, it works and feels the same as the small lubricate originally provided by philips. I didn't taste any difference in the espresso afterwards. This tube is huge and can last many years. I have also tried using it in odd places around the house, works especially well for gears and o rings.

Was recommended by a PCP GX Compressor expert to use litely inside the little PCP compressor cylinder every 10 hours of usage after cleaning inside.

This is a good grade lubricant. I have an electric food slicer that periodically needs to be lubricated. This is a product that was recommened to me by a food service worker. It is a thick, pasty gel that is waterproof, so you don't need to apply it every time you wash your blade. You'll get many uses out of a single use. Depending on how often you use the appliance in question, it will wear off, or eventually you will want to wash it off and put a fresh coat on. It washes with mild soap and water. You don't necessarily only have to use it for food handling equipment, it will lubricate anything.

Works like a charm as expected. Coats well, no odor, no taste as advertised. However, the grease oozed from the folds at the bottom of the steel tube before or during shipment. It was a mess to open.
