I live in the Middle East and sun shines very bright here and also its very hot during summer. Since we started using them in our apartment, we have to check our phones to make sure its morning and our windows faces almost east and we don't have any tall buildings or trees in our neighborhood to block the light. As for sound isolation, maybe it works...
