Is there a best by or expiration date on them? If you purchased recently please share the date.

I haven't purchased any in a while because the price was jacked up like Amazon does on things you order regularly. After the 3rd or 4th order the price spikes to almost $30 so if you do start to order these regularly, do NOT use the 'Buy it again' because it will automatically charge the new price and if you don't pay attention to your monthly statement, you won't know it's happened.

What's the difference between zero sugar and sugar-free?

They are the same thing. Both types of Jolly Ranchers are made the same way, with the same ingredients. The Zero Sugar is their current branding name for the zero sugar/sugar free version of their Jolly Rancher candy. The sugar free title is the old naming.
