Will these elements fit the 40 gal model?

I have the 50 gallon M250T6DS model and the elements were about an inch and a half longer than the ones I pulled out of the tank, which worried me at first, but they fit just fine and are working well. I also replaced the thermostats on my model and those were also slightly larger and I had to carve a little of the insulation away to make them fit. So if you get the part and it's a lit larger, don't worry, I bet it will work for you. You may also want to check the manufacturers website to double check the replacement part number of the element, just in case it is different.

Quantity? How many come for the price of $34? The photo shows two and the description shows one.

They are the same price today as they were in 2019 and were two elements in the order.

Will this work for the model mi40s6ss13?

Not sure but if you go to Bradford White web page and put in your model number it will give you the part numbers you need. And a reminder when ordering directly from Amazon you can always return them.
