Sorry, I am new to the eyelet world and am trying to find the right tools for setting an eyelets** A: Some do, some don't punch the hole that the eyelet will go into, most do. I would suggest a few practice ones on scrap paper. If I don't use mine for along time I have to practice every once in awhile to get the right settings. The directions for using the eyelet puncher were detailed and easy to follow, especially because of the pictures of which letter + number combo to use.
