Great little fan!
I love this little fan and I couldn’t sleep without it! Having a remote is a must, and on this fan you have to know where to aim it to make it hit the sensor, but what I love about it is that it changes in increments of 1. You might not think that 1 increment would make a difference, but it does, and it helps me dial in the airflow to the exact perfect number. It adjusts from 1 to 99. Although it doesn’t move side to side, it is perfect for my bedroom. It is small enough to sit nicely on a small nightstand, but powerful enough to create a mighty wind if you want one. It seems to be of good quality, and I am very happy that I chose this fan!

Stout little fan. Love the warranty!
This is one stout little fan. I'm picky about the products that I bring home and place in any of my rooms. This is designed very well and works exactly as you'd expect. Fan noise is somewhat subjective. Even though they do list the decibels at different velocities, it's still a personal opinion about sound. I keep this one in my bedroom and when it's at a comfortable fan speed you can still hear the fan when sleeping. However, I want some white noise while I sleep since I'm a very light sleeper. This is a smooth white noise and is just right at a setting of "25". I have another one of these in my home office, and I boost it up a little bit when the remote when I'm not on a phone call, and when a call comes through I dropped it down to 5 or 10, I can't hear it, and neither can the people on the phone. And that low-level does still keep the air moving quite satisfactorily. Overall it's just a great little fan. On the noise level, I gave it a four because even though I think it's still quiet enough for me I was kind of hoping it would be a little quieter at some of the higher ranges like over "40". But I understand that when you move air you gotta make some noise. I guess I'm being a little picky here too. But again this is a great fan, I would recommend to anybody and I'm sure I will be buying more of them. As matter fact I did buy a 2nd one of these and its older, bigger brother the 660 model and I'm thoroughly enjoying that one as well, even though it has a 5 year warranty instead of a 10-year warranty.

Lots of speeds with timer
I got this fan before Christmas and wanted to try out a remote dc fan after using a 133dc. This fan has a huger variant of speeds and remote control comes handy to use, cord hook is convenient to have, and a carry handle for ease of portability.

VERY handy to have remote to change speed.
VERY handy to have the remote to change speed. No getting down on the floor to change the speed. The remote is limited range, but MUCH better than bending to floor to change speed. Quiet at the lower speeds , but of course as you speed it up it gets louder due to throwing more air. Nice to have a display of speed so that you can return to where you want it instead of guessing with an unmarked rotary control with other variable speed fans. Another BIG plus is the DC motor that can be started at low speed without being hard on it. AND of course uses a lot less electric.

This fan just keeps going and going and going......
We own two of these. One stays on the boat and we just bought another for the house. The one in the boat has been in there since 2017. I bought it for it's energy efficiency but it's longevity is really impressing me. That fan runs 24/7/365. It keeps air circulating and eliminates issues with mold and mildew in the sometimes damp environment on the boat. The only time it isn't running is when we have a power outage due to a storm. If the power goes out you have to restart the fan manually, a minor inconvenience. The display lights have mostly burned out on the 7 year old fan but again it's not a big deal. It just keeps running all day and all night! Time will tell how long it lasts but if I outlive my old Vornado, I'll surely buy another. BTW, I happened to check the power consumption on this model. At full power it consumes 30 watts. But if you're running it slow (7% power) it burns a mere 4 watts and still moves air pretty decently.

Amazing little fan, but how does it compare to the 6303DC?
I do not own this fan. I ordered one and after two of them came broken (see photos), I decided to go with the big brother 6303DC. I did plug in the fan to form an opinion and if I wanted to spend the money on a Vornado fan. My motivation to leave a review is remark on the differences to the big brother. I would have appreciated this review when making my decision. What I liked: I love the variable speeds and the timer. The brushless motor was the selling feature. What I did not like: It sounds like a small fan. The display does not dim and is too bright if using in a dark room to sleep. What is different on the 6303DC? The 6303DC is larger than one might expect judging from the specs versus the 5303DC. It took me awhile to justify the price difference. The fan seems quieter and overall more substantial than the little brother. And the display dims! When changing speeds, the display brightens, but then dims after a few seconds. A welcome improvement over the bright display of the 5303DC. However, the power light remains lit, so it continues to glow even after the timer has shut off the fan. I never tried the remote on the 5303DC, but it works great on the 6303DC. Yes it is line-of-sight, but seems to work just as if activating the buttons on the base. Do I think it is worth almost twice the cost currently on Amazon over the 5303DC? Tough to say, but I would say it lives up to the expectation when it is described as medium sized. Very quiet, yet a substantial breeze at speeds around 30.

amazing fan, extremely low power draw, lots of air movement
I got this for air circulation in a truck camper powered by solar and wanted a fan to move the air without a big energy draw. This fan draws a very small amount of power. It has 50 different settings. The lowest one draws about 2 watts, the highest about 50 watts, almost nothing compared to a similar AC fan. For the purposes of my camper and keeping my dog cool, it is perfect and seems quite well made. It does not have a separate converter box so I assume it is built into the base which is also nice. Remote is a great touch and very intuitive. This fan solved several problems for me and was not cheap but worth every penny.

I bought two fans for my children’s room’s. They really do get the air circulating and their rooms were noticeably cooler.

Después de dos años el control remoto dejó de funcionar y me ha sido imposible, hasta hoy, encontrar un repuesto, porque la marca no los vende. El ventilador funciona muy bien y da mucha batalla, solo es el control.
