Can you position the megaphone in one place and use the microphone independently?** A: A lot of "no" answers to your question, but in fact, the microphone IS detachable. However, it is connected to the device by a cord (it's not a wireless mic). So, you can set the megaphone down and use the mic while standing instead of having to hold onto it. **Q: does this have a trigger** A: It has two triggers, there's one at the handle and one on the side of the detachable microphone. **Q: does the mic cable detach** A: Yes it does only one time cause it doesn’t reattach. You would think it would.
