I LOVE SCIENCE
Love love love this book because of its diverse topics, it really gets into everything and it’s so fun, it provides so many information and it’s really interesting. Also love the way it’s organised.

More of a history book
Not a bad book by any means as it is very beautifully organized and illustrated. I just believe the title should have been something along the lines of “The History of Science” rather than “The Science Book”. Possibly my mistake, but I bought it expecting more of an encyclopedia-type format, intended to teach adults who don’t necessarily work inside scientific fields more about various scientific concepts in further detail. However it doesn’t get into much detail about the scientific material itself but rather draws out a storyline of when things were discovered and by whom, and society’s reactions to it, making it heavily history-centered (for example, almost every paragraph starts with something like: “In the year 1615….”). It is still an informative and well-written book. For those who want to get a chronological picture of how the field of science was developed through time and who contributed to it, it is perfect. I’m just writing this review as caution to those who are more interested in pure scientific fact and knowledge: this might not be the most efficient book for that purpose.

As a science enthusiast I am thoroughly enjoying this book! It was worth every penny! I bought the hardback version and it came in perfect condition. It is very captivating as it has lots of colour's, photos and illustrations. I will definitely be purchasing more DK scientific books from Amazon! Note: The book focuses more on the history of scientific discoveries, but still talks a lot about the subject and explains it very well!
